So my attention span is REALLY low even for the best games like COD4, Crysis etc.. But when I pick up one of my fav games resident evil/ metal gear solid/ etc its not short. It used to be really good, but it just isnt and its just been recent. Anything I can do to bring it up ?

You do not have a "short attention span." You are just more easily interested by games like Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. That is all, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Or...

It could mean that those games arn't as great as everybody thinks they are.

It is also possible you have mastered the art of determining for yourself what you like, a rare skill.

Hmph... But the thing is their games I used to like like 3-4 months ago. When I got Warhead I enjoyed it ALOT. Just can't enjoy it anymore, but I guess that's my lack of replay value.

I liked that hehe. I also liked the hint that Crysis isn't as good as it's suppose to be. That game and it's bog standard first person shoot um up disguised behind a lots of grass, trees and a crap load of bloom.

I also agree that there was nothing amazing about Crysis, seemed like just another FPS tp me.

Anyway back on topic, I also have the same sort of problem with games, you wouldn't believe how many games I've never finished cos I just got fed up of them. For me it seems to be alot to do with repetitiveness in games, I can't stand it where you've got some mission/quest to do the same thing over and over again.

Worst offenders are having to collect a stupid amount of something, like in Bioshock where you had to collect 13 of something, 8 of something else and 12 of some other thing, in fact it was at that point that I stopped playing Bioshock. Also missions where you just have to go to some room and push a button (sometimes you don't even get to push a button, you just have to go to the room) which I don't really mind, but when you've done it about 5 times in a row I find it does start to get just a wee bit tedious.

Sounds like your just very picky about your games. They can be very repetitive, like Assasins Creed for e.g. but it would be annoying if games were really short to avoid the repetition. But then you could argue that they could come up with more than 3 ideas or something!
