I've recently gotten into playing some SNES classics, and I was just wondering what some of the easier and shorter games are on the console. I don't really care what genre they belong to, but I want them to be at least decent in terms of quality. I'm notoriously horrible at retro platforming games (I had a tough time beating Super Mario World LOL! ), yet I do like the premise of a lot of those games. So, basically, I'm just in search of SNES games that are entertaining and relatively easy to finish in a weekend or two. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Zonned! I've been meaning to play the Megaman games at some point, so I'll definitely check those out! :-)

Play Yoshi's Island. It's widely regarded (and deservedly so) as the best platformer ever made. Read this.

I haven't played it in a long time, but The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse meets both of those requirements, especially on easy.

It's not short and easy tho.

@TC: maybe you should try some of the Kirby games (Dream Land 3 for instance).

I don't know if you could call it easy, per se, but X-Men Mutant Apocalypse is pretty dang short. But it's one of the best beat-em ups ever made. The Power Ranger games are incredibly easy.

When you say beat SMW, do you mean beating Bowser, or completing the game?

Beating Bowser. I haven't played all of the 96 stages, but I have beaten a few of the bonus levels.

Disney's Aladdin for me.

I think I may have died only once in that game ever.

Also going with Disney: Mickey's Magical Quest. I can beat it quickly but it's great great fun! (By the way, I agree with the above poster about Aladdin. Great game, but it's not too long at all.)

That was the first game I owned that had so much more to it than just beating it. It's worth the time trust me. There were levels in that game that probably took me over 50 times to beat. I was 10 years old though...

Kirby All-Star isn't exactly a challenging game, but it's one of the best games I've ever played.

As others mentioned, Yoshi's Island is fairly easy. I remember renting and beating the game over a weekend. Mario Kart can be easy to open all tracks on 50CC.

easiest snes game is hands down Chrono Trigger.....beat that game in what like 25 mins.......

lol, on a serious note hmm The Lion King(loved that game) was fairly easy, except for a couple of levels but can be beaten in a couple hours

Toy story, can also be beaten quickly and aladdin as well.
