I was wondering if anyone knew how long they are acctually alowed to hold games atGamestopsince theres a girl at the one near me who has a game I want and it's been a month. They said she was waiting till pay day and the guy said that it was on a Fri 3 weeks ago to me this seems excessive and should be against store policy cause there is a customer who wants the game anda month and counting is what it's at now

No Gamestop employee should have the privilege of holding a game and then selling it as new. I don't care if they work there, is the manager, district manager, or even the president of the company, NO GAMESTOP EMPLOYEE should be allowed to do that and then sell it to customers later on!

This is a good example of bad customer service, the employee is purposely withholding product from the customer, and thus losing sales. Talk to the manager about it, if he gives a damn at about his store, he'll take action.

Their employees get a way with quite a bit, as long as it doesn't get back to their superiors that is. I know guys that worked there who used to borrow all kinds of games and then they would put them back on the shelf and sell them as new. I guess your best bet would be to demand the game or perhaps wait till the manager is there and ask them for it.

I'm a little bit confused about why you even know there is a copy there if it's being held, and furthermore about why you keep going back to that store if they keep doing it. At any rate, maybe calling one of their main offices will get something done. Then again maybe not. :P

they sell me a copy of dead rising as new , ,it ends up having a scratch right down the side ,

obviously it was used and had dirt finger prints, they are so lucky it works id sue em

they should sell used games for half the price of new

i dont give a rats if it makes them loose money thats what pawnshops do

Every store in the universe allows their employees to borrow games. When they are returned they are resealed and sold. This is how it goes. And people say pirates are bad. If a store isnt game centric they will even allow employees to borrow PC games. At the place I worked I had to explain to the menager why he shouldnt let workers take GTAIV PC home...

pretty sure microsoft wouldnt allow Gamespot to break seals, then re-seal them, cause thats the jist of what i get from GS complaining around here. Do they Really grab the disk from the drawer, put it in the case and sell it to you Brand New???

If so, your GS sucks haaaard

I'm not defending Gamestop since it is a pretty crappy policy, but why can't you just get it somewhere else? Seems you're spending too much time stressing over this.
