Should I buy a boxed set for World of Warcraft or just download the game from Blizzard's website?

Hello,

I went to my local Best Buy store today and found a World of Warcraft box for $19.99. On the front of the box in fine print it said "first month of play included" and it said a DVD was in the box and it would work for Windows and Mac but that's basically all it said. I was wondering why they felt the need to put it in such a huge double-sized box for? I also found online something called a "battle chest" on Amazon.com which seems to be an even bigger box with lots of stuff inside it for $22 (just two dollars more than the Best Buy store plain box). I was wondering if anyone knows what the differences are between these two boxes?

I was also wondering if I should just download World of Warcraft instead and perhaps update to one of the newer expansion packs instead?....

Thank you

There is absolutely no advantage to buying the boxed copy. The digital version is currently £3.50 and includes 1 month membership and 4 of the expansions.

These boxed copies you're looking at are just old copies from before they made the expansions free to all owners of the game.
