Should I buy GTA V now for $60 or wait until theres a discount?

I just got a few PS giftcards and its $120 total. I want to get GTA V and last week there was a sale and it was $30 in the PS Store but I missed my shot. But I'm really desperate to get GTA and play with my friends but also want to save a lot of money. So should I wait or buy it now. I might wait because I want to get the best deal and still have a lot of money. Thanks!

From gift cards, that's nothing to complain about so I'd get it if I were you. Just know that you're paying 60 bucks for a last gen game. Even on ps4, it still looks and feels last gen so don't expect much in graphics. But for a first time try, it's perfect on ps4. More features, minor but noticeable graphic updates and 1st person cam option is total amazeballs! ?

What genres and type of games do you like? We could probably give you some recommendations that don't cost $60.

? Then you can still just wait for a sale and either way, GTA V won't be 60 forever. Just buy what you wanna buy and let GTA V wait. It sounds like you already made up your mind. Unless playing with your best buds is THAT important to you. Guess it comes down to that, really.

@locus-solus: I like cheap fun games under $20 like rocket league and mini games like that. I also like shooters and at the moment I don't want ot buy nady because I'm not interested in them.

It's a pretty amazing game and you certainly won't feel ripped off even if you pay full price.

The game's price (at least in Canada) varies often with it being on sale every now and then.

However, if you're going to drop $60.00 on, I think I'd rather have the physical copy and if it were me, I'd wait for the digital version to go on sale as you'll have zero resale value with the digital copy.

There's been quite a few great games on sale for cheap on PSN and I'm sure you'll have no trouble spending your gift cards on a variety of great games. I think Mad Max is $19.99 right now on PSN and that's a great game.

@killered3: I just learned that in the PS Store GTA V is on sale quite frequently so I'll see.

Or have the option of using actual money rather than a PS giftcard as some of the bigger B&M stores had V on sale the past few weeks for $40.00 allowing it to be sold if one grows tired of it or just doesn't like it.

The most since the PC release i have ever seen GTA discounted is around 40% so i would probably wait for a sale

ah I looked like 2 weeks ago and saw it was like over 60 and I said wtf...even used it was 50 at game stop....I play this game a lot on ps4 I even got the civil war dagger in the skull cave online.....I looked at sony store yesterday saw nothing on the summer sale.....all crappy games....I have got games in the store I got hard line and far cry and one other around 20....I even saw games I bought used at game stop go more then the sale on psn...

nothing in the store this summer sale impress me....I was looking to see if they had the division....that I might grab...

I have never seen gta go on sale ever.......they stilling selling it new at normal new game price...why I said I was so funny....that don't mean bust buy wont offer it at 40 or so on but we talking a game people are still playing like crazy.

Save the cards for upcoming exclusives or something. There are decent few coming out in the next year.

GTA 5 will likely be $60 until GTA 6 comes out or MAYBE Black Friday in November. It is still selling extremely well, so they have no reason to decrease the price at this point.

Just wait. The PS Store has a GTA/Rockstar sale every other month lol.
