I already did a post like this but I am a really cheap guy and I like to know what I'm getting into.

On playstation Summer Sales started today and I'm wondering if I should get The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I like games like GTAV, COD, Minecraft and some others AAA titles around the same categories. Please help me out here.

PS: What about Fallout4... I know I already did a post about this but I believe I didn't like Fallout 3 that much because of the graphics and because I felt alone and everything seemed dark and empty. And building settlements looks like fun.

I'm not sure what more advice we can offer, other than what you got in your other thread.

For what it's worth, they are both fantastic games. TW3 is more polished, and has a substantially more clear and compelling narrative. Almost every quest has a story, and a good one. FO4 is more of a sandbox "RPG" like FO3. I think the advice everyone already gave you about FO4 stands: it is VERY similar to FO3. Yes, the graphics are better, but it's still a grey wasteland, with a lot of empty space. You do get to have companions, and you can work on the settlements, but they aren't really "deep" mechanics (fun, though, nonetheless). I love FO4, but only you can decide if you want to "risk" it given that you didn't like FO3.

I'd me more inclined to recommend you try TW3, given your dislike for FO3. But it's your call. Both are good

Get TW3, It's the best game of this generation by far.

If you're scared that you won't know what's happening since u didnt play 1 or 2, worry not. The game tells a story that you can still get heavily involved and invested in regardless of your prior knowledge. However, you can find several fan made lore guides, takes at most 10 minutes to go through, to help you know of the world and make your experience better.

TW3 is not really similar to the games u listed, gta, cod, minecraft. But, unlike fallout, the world isnt depressing and apocalyptic-like.

The witcher 3 is a narrative driven game set in an open world. Like all open world games, there's sidequests, ect, except the w3 does those things much better than anything that has come out recently, all side quests have some sort story to them, fully voice acted. It set the new standard, really.

@persus: No man's sky is a hybrid. space simulator/survival/FPS/RPG. So far it looks good, but it also looks like it could be boring. Nobody can say for sure. the game's not out yet.

The Witcher 3 kills Fallout 4 IMHO, and this is coming from a huge fan of the FO and Elder Scrolls series. It is hard to recommend a game more than the Witcher 3. My processor, fx6200, is on the weak side, so I have some hitching and stuttering in witcher 3, but even then, it's incredible.

I don't like the combat of The Witcher. But beside this, it's a good game for sure.

I prefer FO4 which is a very good game that make a lot of sense.

for what its worth i hate FO4, even though i enjoyed FO3. Building settlemens is boring as hell, and the story in the game is a joke imo.. So yeah go with TW3, best game this decade imo.
