Should I get a PS2?

Im thinking of selling my DS and my Gamecube in order to get an original black PS2 for a fair price. Does PS2 have any online multiplayer? Also, how many MB does a usual game take up because a memory card is 8MB :P I'm interested in a lot of PS2 games which I would like to try out.

Depends on type of games you are going to play, I have 7 games and here is how much it takes to save each:

MLB Power Pros 2008

Main File = 895kb Season Mode = 1211kb MLB Life Mode = 1053kb

Socom Combined Assault = 499kb

Jak 3 = 1060kb

Jak and Daxter = 691kb

NFL Street 2 = 316kb

NCAA 06 Football = 2969kb

Madden NFL 06 = 2787kb

As you can see sports games take up quite a bit but most other games take up only around 500kb (1/2 a megabyte) to 1000kb (1 megabyte).

Some games have only features and some don't, the packege for the game will have a box at the bottom that is grey and says online if it has online capablities. The new slim PS2's have a dsl cable port built in them.

Yes, get a PS2.

I've had mine for about 4 years now, and I'm still playing it.

It's still coming out with fun games, and it is totally worth the money.

But if money is no object for you, I would get a PS3.

why would you sell a current product to get a last gen one, but any how, ps2 has awsome games not many are online at this point in time because sony shut most of their servers down , heres what i suggest,

dont listen to the one who said get a ps3, thos are no longer backwards compatible with the system you want in questions games

if you find a used 60 20 or old 80 gb theyll run from300-500 on ebay if not more

and 300 at the stores

ps2 new cost only 130 with tax and all, i know becaus i just replaced one of mine

used would be even cheaper 40 dollars if its a phat 60-70 if its a slim

and no matter which way you do it get a ps2, even if it means selling the gc , ds i dont think you should because you wont get much for it ,gc since its old and wii can play its games, sell it, buy a wii later down the road,

if you feel the urge to play the gc games again

gran turismo 3 or 4 1 and 2 for ps1 if you want ut these last 2 are rare, and only found in pawns fleamarkets or yard sales if not definatelly online

driver series -1-2 on ps1 3 and 4 on ps2

mgs i own the first one only, so dont ask about the others, it was good

need for speed series be very aware that there are alot of need for speeds on ps1 and 2,

the best ones are from need for speed 1 to need for speed hot pursuit 2-ps1./2 the others are ok

duke nukem is a good ps1 game to own total meltdown for first person the 2nd one or 3rd one are 3rd person and i dont much like them

the world is not enough if you do not own a n64 and this game, or even if you dont, own the game you better off with the n64 if not ps1 is good

syphon filter series on ps1-2 are good games

final fantasy iv is a good game theres alot more of these but i only own iv and one on gc/gba

MADDEN is good if you like football ,

nascar if you like that as well ,

twisted metal 1 2 3 and black are good ,

007 series on ps2 is ok , since there isnt many fpses on ps2 that are like timesplitters

theres also bowling games and such on ps1 that are awsome but ill leave that to the wii
