Stupidest cover ever, anyway, I found the Max Payne games highly enjoyable, and they do have a certain amount of replay, with the extra modes available.
I'm pretty sure there is an underlying story between the 1st and 2nd games, so you should play them after the other. The story is pretty good, in my opinion anyway, so it's worth going through them. The presentation of the story was a highlight when the game was released, using the comic-strip presentation to depict the story.
Yay you download games by torrents ... that makes you the coolest guy!!!!!! I wish i was you :roll:bugsonglasslooks like some body wok up on the wrong side of the bed. And for every body else thanks, I will play the first one before the second.
Great gameplay but I hated the settings in both, so dark and depressing. Always raining, always night. Made me want to slit my wrists in slow motion.
And the shows on those tv's in the game were extremely disturbing.
Gangans
That's one of the reasons I liked it, it's pretty much the only series of games ever to get a grim, gritty feel done right.
And yeah, you don't necessarily need to play the first to enjoy the second, but it helps.
Max Payne... 2 right? I have that.
Well, the narrative is heavy and it's presented in a comic book sort of way. It's film noire, if you can get a feel of what that means. There's some stuff that's loopy like how you can survive after a 10 story jump... But then again, it's also loopy how you can shake off bullet wounds with painkillers heh.
It's a typical thirdperson shooting game, except it's told in a darker theme and the matrixness. Yea, the slow-mo is pretty much the game. Without it, it's average, but there's nothing like diving into a mob of enemies and aiming at their heads.
It can be beaten in 4 hours, but yea, dialogue heavy, comic book scenes, matrix mode, running and shooting. That's what you get.
