Yeah. He'd need to know how much he'd get for it first. Xbox's aren't worth much at all these days. Even the mighty PSone isn't worth much. Remember the Xbox is a great DVD player if you have a good cable with it.
i definitely would if i had the money. if you are interested in more than 5 games for the system, i think it would be worth it for you. not to mention all of the cool arcade games offered on it as well.
but id stick to buying an Elite, you get a better warranty and less risk of RRoD.
I say go for it. You will still get at least $60+ for your Xbox if you sell it on Ebay. If you keep it, you can still play all your Xbox games for it flawlessly and don't have to worry about the 360's limited backwards compatibility. The system has been out now for some time now so you now have access to a solid amount of AA, AAA titles worth buying and low prices.
I don't see why not. No new games are being made for the original Xbox any longer, so it would be a good idea to upgrade. Besides, even if your 360 does fail, you can always just send it to Microsoft for free.

False. RROD is caused by the motherboard and that is the same in all Xbox 360s. The risk is just the same.

Only buy a 360 if you play on Xbox Live. That's all that the 360 games have going for them anyway. That's why I haven't bought a 360. I hate playing online.
