No. It would decrease sales quite a bit as many people who don't like the music may decide not to play it.
Also, its better IMOif games have their own iconic theme songs.

freak lisence music. i can play my own music if i want to listen to liscens music. i hate license music in video games. i want to hear more original, their own music theme.... be creative. not some liscense music. lazy developer.

however..... fps is kindda quiet without music while gameplay.... they should have original music theme play while gaming. only hear gun noise kindda boring. no lisence music though.

Depends on the setting for the game and the music. For example if I'm playing a WWII shooter I don't want to hear 50 Cent or some crazy techno - it would totally ruin the immersion.

Battlefield Vietnam did it. That's about the only one I can think of.

That destroys immersion. I would hate if they put licensed music into games.

Plus there would always be songs you don't like. Consoles most of the time have custom soundtracks anyways.

Depends on the game and depends on the songs. Tearing through an army in an overpowered mech suit with "Iron Man" blaring might be kind of cool.

burnout 1 used ot be awesome cause of the unique, original iconic theme music then their new ones comes out and loaded with lisence music which change my feeling on burnout games.

i dont like liscense music in games. i like unique, original, iconic theme music in fps while gameplay though. i said that already huh?

No, they should not.

Original game sound tracks are much more interesting then using songs produced by the music industry.

They wanted "All Along the Watchtower" (The Hendrix version) but the Hendrix guys didn't want his song accoated with a shooting game.
