No they shouldn't. I've never played La Noir. But that doesnt matter, I love gta and I want to see GTA V! (hopefully on the Nintendo's next console, doesnt matter if its a port or not).

Granted I haven't played L.A. Noire but it seems to be a very different game the Grand Theft Auto. I see no reason why they should stop making GTA games. They have been creating a very sizable stable of other games that help bring in good money and can give them more comfort while inbetween GTA titles but to stop making GTA games would make absolutely no sense.

L.A. Noire is not like Grand Theft Auto at all. Besides, one has nothing to do with the other. L.A. Noire is developed by Team Bondi (granted, with significant involvement from several Rockstar studios) whereas Grand Theft Auto is developed by Rockstar North.

If anything, Rockstar should acquire Team Bondi - and preferrably rename them Rockstar South.

I believe they should, anyone else that got their hands on the series would screw it up. Rockstar does the series right.

Gran Theft Auto? Is that a game about someone who can't stop stealing old ladies? I see no reason why LA Noire can't exist alongside Red Dead and GTA. All three games are made by different studios.

Considering the fact that GTA IV is the highest-rated game of this generation (and the highest-rated game of all time for many critics), as well asone of the best-selling titles of all time, that would financially be the dumbest move Rockstar Games could possibly make.

Let's put it this way. Rockstart not making GTA is like Activision not making COD. GTA is the reason Rockstar became popular. Sure they have other games (bully, midnight club, rdr, and L.A. Noire) but GTA is the heart and soul of Rockstar.

P.S. I apologize for comparing GTA to cod. I feel ashamed =(

No, granted it is pretty much the franchise they're famous for and they have made several of them. I've yet to play a GTA game I didn't have fun playing. However I do like that they are not solely focusing on the GTA franchise.

I don't think that they should. Grand Theft Auto is one of the best selling video game series of all time, and is one of my (and many other peoples) favourites too. GTA games are just too much fun to stop making and not only that, but as already stated a few times in this thread already, there is no reason why Rockstar should stop developing GTA games, seeing as they also bring in a lot of money for them and is their best selling franchise of all time. There have been many GTA clones, most of them being great amounts of fun, but still, in my eyes, nothing will ever do "grand theft auto" better than Grand Theft Auto itself. GTA is a fantastic game that should perhaps carry on forever, to be honest with you :).

Also, I agree with this. The only GTA game that I haven't played is Chinatown Wars, I just haven't got around to it yet with all of these games coming out and all my back catalogue (some games I have and some I don't), but I will get around to it some day soon. I have loved each and every single GTA game ever, including London 1969 :D.

No way. L.A. Noire is a very different game from GTA. Really the only similarity between them is the open city setting where you can take on missions when you please. We need the GTA series more than anything these days before we all get drowned in a sea of mediocre FPS's.

Wow, it's nothing like Grand Theft Auto. Are you sure you've even played those games? Or just trolling?

That is a very out of context question anyone can ask. How does the existence of a game that has similar gameplay, if not sister product, to Grand Theft Auto prompt the question that Rockstar should stop producing its key franchise? But no, no they shouldn't. All the main games (after III) are very good, refined, and are generally agreed to be some of the finest games these past two generations.

I believe Rockstar should keep making the game, however games are really big and I don't think Rockstar can keep up. LA Noire is a great example of how they should keep making open world games. I don't believe GTA would be able to keep up with the standards other games have and it's the reason why I think they should put GTA on hold for a while.

No way. The methods they used to make LA Noire will surely be applied to a new GTA game whenever that may be. GTA games always sell and almost always live up to expectations

deffo looks like you did play L.A. Noir mate, iv played it and its ALOT diffrent to GTA, LA Noir is a detective based game, were they fouces on murders and face camras, its a open world game but it its not even close to GTA..

The drivign is not the same, the running and shooting deffo not the same, L.A Noir shouldent even be classed as a "GTA" remover as L.A. Noir is one of a kind game itself, its not like any other game out there atm, Saint's Row is more like GTA, but yet the same, can't class it as a GTA game beacuse GTA is still a kind of its self, na Rockstar should never stop doing GTA!
