I've had one of those little silver PS2's for a while, and it's been working fine. It still works now, but occasionally when I'm playing, it makes strange noises. I think that the source of the noise is that little thing that moves around back and fourth under the CD, that has the little piece of film attached. Is that supposed to be visible? And if it is, does anyone know what this noise means and how I can fix it?
lol That is the laser "eye". Every disc drive needs one of these and the noise you are probably hearing is the eye moving back and forth along its guide. Some games that require heavy streaming from the disc (eg. GTA games) will cause your PS2 to make a lot more noise. I'm sure everything is normal as the new Slimlines are very well made.
is that the silver where ure main character is called david and theres a big guy in it called fuge who has 2 big swords? or am i thinking of a different silver. i remember the one im thinking of being released on the DC and PC....but i never knew it was on the PS2.
Nonono, Silver is the color of my PS2, not a game. And it's not like I'm playing a new game that would require more from the PS2, i just picked up Psychonauts for $15, and that was when it started making the noise.
SILVER, lol, yeah i remember that game for the pc was good, well about the topic he was talking about the ps2 silver, well you should just leve it alone, if its working but if it's to noisy then have it check out
