I bought SNES of ebay without any cables. I have 12V 1.25A Adapter. Will it work. I am just trying not to blow it up. Anyone tried 12V with around 1.2A thanks? Here is a list of other adapters I found in my house. 5V 1A 9V 300A Thanks!

I just checked my snes adaptor and it has an output of 10V 850 milliamps. I'd try to find something at least a little closer than that and I personally wouldn't use anything but an adaptor with the same output rating.

I'm not sure if it will blow up, but the SNES AC adapter is 10V and 850mA, so you're a bit high in both areas. If I were you, I'd just buy the official adapter so you don't have to worry about destroying your system.

I did some research, the amps part is not important its the voltage that could hurt the system... That's why I am asking if anyone tried 12V or any other varations
