SNK Playmore - What the hell is wrong with them?

KOF XI's delays have gotten way out of hand. It's embarrassing it's taking so long to release a game this old on the PS2.trifecta_basic

Gotta agree with you. While KOFXI was released in Australia, I've yet to see a physical copy of the game in ANY shop. All online...weird...

Can't believe it took them PS2's entire lifespan to finally bring these games over. Forced a lot of people to fork over three times more cash for the imports around $75~85 for one game! And now they're localizing them for a budget price!? Kind of makes me angry and glad at the same time...more angry cuz` I have some of their imports.

What's wrong with them? Well, basically, Playmore bought SNK and all the old-guard guys either quit or were let go.

All that's left of SNK is the name, really.

No, I'm talking about the "damn near happened" US release three years ago on the Xbox that just kept getting delayed week by week until it was finally put out of its misery. I'm getting disturbing memories of that coming back from all this XI business.

Sorry dude, I just found about what you described JUST now. I was about to edit until Glitchspot brought me back to this page, then your reply showed up. Still, that's ridiculous how it got cancelled, that really is.

XI is out in PAL though. I've never seen a physical copy myself, but I have seen copies up for sale on sites like eBay and what not. I don't know what the legality of modding PS2's for importing purposes in the US, but if you're willing to spend the money, this could potentially be the closest you'll be getting to an English copy for some time...
