I'm sick of dealing with an unstable system, if it cost $100 to have something reliable then I think it might be worth it. Your thoughts?
Thanks.

Well You can get your 360 fixed for free under the new warranty plan so I'm not sure what's the problem here. Whether or not you want the PS3 shouldn't be dependent on your ownership of a 360 at this point.
*Edit* Oh I see, well since it's not the red rings I don't really have any advice for you at this point.

If reliability is a major issue, then get a PS3 instead. There's always the chance that MS might redesign the thing later on but it doesn't change the fact that when machines get fixed, they still get sent out as refurbed replacements, it's not like there's only one thing thatcan potentially go wrongwith these machines.
I would leave it running with a hot hair drier blowing into the air intake until it red-ringed and have it repaired under warranty. Then get a PS3 also.getyeryayasout
LoL.
I say PS3.
But if you enjoy the uncertainties that a 360 brings, you might want to stick with it. Hmm, will I get the red-ring, will it fail to turn on, will it attack me in my sleep? You might get lucky, you might not.
