So my 360 is missed up for the second time, should I pay to fix or just go PS3?

I'm sick of dealing with an unstable system, if it cost $100 to have something reliable then I think it might be worth it. Your thoughts?

Thanks.

If you got the red ring of death, Then you do know that the warranty was extended for a total of 3 years right?

First time I did. This time the POS is ejecting itself when I'm playing a game, so I doubt it will be covered this time.

Well You can get your 360 fixed for free under the new warranty plan so I'm not sure what's the problem here. Whether or not you want the PS3 shouldn't be dependent on your ownership of a 360 at this point.

*Edit* Oh I see, well since it's not the red rings I don't really have any advice for you at this point.

Hmm, I dont know. My 360 broke a 2nd time out of warrantly, So I sold all the games, then MS said that theyd give free repairs so I rang today and got it sorted.
I certainly think that the PS3 is pretty much bulletproof, and in the coming months there are some killer games coming out for it. So if youre prepared to wait for the good games then yeah, I suppose a PS3 is worth the extra money.

wasn't the warranty for the red rings and any other unspecified hardware failure? I'll see if i can find the fact sheet.

edit: nvm. the warranty said "general hardware failure as indicated by the 3 red lights"

Buy a Ps3 from walmart, if you don't like it you can return it within 90 days.

If reliability is a major issue, then get a PS3 instead. There's always the chance that MS might redesign the thing later on but it doesn't change the fact that when machines get fixed, they still get sent out as refurbed replacements, it's not like there's only one thing thatcan potentially go wrongwith these machines.

Dude, I say do both man! Fixing the 360 is way cheaper than a PS3. Well, unless you take them up on that 5 movie deal and return all the movies, than I guess the PS3 is about $250. Actually, I feel like threads like this are just there to try to get the crazies angry at each other, so I'm outta here!

I would leave it running with a hot hair drier blowing into the air intake until it red-ringed and have it repaired under warranty. Then get a PS3 also.getyeryayasout

LoL.

I say PS3.

But if you enjoy the uncertainties that a 360 brings, you might want to stick with it. Hmm, will I get the red-ring, will it fail to turn on, will it attack me in my sleep? You might get lucky, you might not.
