i found it quite long-winded and convoluted. i really disliked traversing the dark world, playing as the wolf, and interacting with NPCs. but the dungeon design was great as usual.
I thought it was an amazing, solid game. Not as good as the N64 installments, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hated the required waggle.
Really, there was no excuse for not having Gamecube or Classic controller support via a menu toggle except that Nintendo presumably wanted to push what the Wii was all about.
Other than no widescreen, the Gamecube version was much better. Which is ridiculous, because the Wii version could have (and should have) been the definitive version.
Yes the wii is the mirrored version. I agree with all your comments except for Dj Lae's. I think the reason that they didnt include the option to play using a gamecube controller is because they made a GC version already and wanted to give a different playing experience. Although i may be wrong... Yea i didnt like the Red Recticle always hanging onscreen either. while i was going through one of the temples it blocked an enemy from my vision. The core game was amazing but they should have put a few more temples just to give it some more playing time...Bonus Temples if you will, that can be unlocked after the core game was completed. The one on the Wii is the mirrored one, right?
Because Link is supposed to be left-handed.

I'm replaying it right now. I think that it's the second best zelda game ever made behind Ocarina of Time. The dugeons are execellent as usual and changing to regular link to wolf link really makes the gameplay interesting. Hopefully Skyward Sword will be as good as this.
I loved it!
I convinced a friend that hated the LoZ series to buy the game on Gamecube and he beat it and loved it also.
I dont know why people bag on the game so much. It really is an amazing game. its got like a 94% on gamerankings also.

The only thing we really know is that they wanted the game to help spur the Wii's launch (by delaying the Gamecube version so that early adopters had to buy a Wii to play TP), although in hindsight they didn't need it. I'm probably still a bit bitter about the whole thing, although I do hate the required motion controls. Especially in a game designed for a gamepad, it should be an option.
I didnt find this Zelda as fun as OOT and WW. I got up to the temple in the sky (Forgot what it was called), got bored and gave up. What really annoyed me was the lack of mini puzzles such as showing people items and getting a reaction, then they give you a heart etc. Also you barely used the items you got from the dungeons outside of them.
Thats what happened to me!! I tried wind waker on GC and it just didnt get to me but then my buddy sent me TP for Wii and i was INSTANTLY HOOKED!!! [QUOTE="flyingtorso2"]I loved it!

I have a long distance uhhh... *Pen Pal* if you will, who is friends with one of the Developers of Zelda's Son. He gives his son spoilers on occasion and then my buddy relays the info to me.. Anyone know where Skyward Sword comes out? ShadowsGameTimeNot where im sorry.. "When" My computer is hating me right now.
I orginally played TP on GameCube. After growing accustomed to the Wii controls and mirrored world, things were basically the same. That being said, I'm a big Zelda fan and I appreciated the amount of progress the series had made at the time. I certainly don't have any serious complaints and it ranks amongst my favorite games in the series.
I played that a long time ago on the gamecube (and I helped my nephews play it on their Wii because the waggle was so imprecise it made some sections very frustrating for them, but they were only like around 6 or 7 at that time.) I remember the waggle was not fun. Controls were much better on the Gamecube.
When I think back on the game I remember that there was a lot of unnecessary backtracking when going for 100% completion. Nothing great about the gameplay really stands out in my memory, so I'm going to have to say it was a solid, unmemorable game. If I were going to buy the Wii U I would definitely get the next Zelda because I like the action/adventure genre and while TP was not ground breaking or anything, it did provide some solid entertainment.
This. Something about this Zelda game just didn't sit right with me.I should probably revisit it at some point, but at the time I was really disappointed. But I was also upset about waiting so many years for it just to have it be delayed so that they could throw it on the Wii, so that probably factored into it.

Never bothered with the Wii version. I completed the GC version shortly after replaying through OOT and I felt that TP was huge improvement, and definitely the best 3D Zelda game.
