With only a month and a half left for the year, whats been your game? I know theres still more to be released so Im not asking for you GotY or anything...but theres been alot of excellent games this year and Im just asking whats been your favorite, how many hours of your social life has it taken and why? With games such as Portal2, LA Noire, Batman, Uncharted, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Zelda,MW3, BF3 etc...even if it wasnt released this year, what game has had your attention in 2011? Also this isnt inteded to be a game bashing thread (theres been to many of those lately)...so this is just an enjoyment one. Ive played several this year but my most enjoyed has been Dark Souls, Ive got other things going on as most do so Ive not put tons of time in it, but im loving the game...I picked it up at midnight at launch and now have right at 28 hours logged in on it...I have played strictly offline and even with that amount of time have only beaten the toutorial boss, Taraus Demon, first Bell Gargoyle and just last night beat the Moonlight Butterfly, Ive spent lots of time grinding amd leveling up and just exploring new areas seeing how far I can get into them before meeting my inevitable fate. Obviously Im in no way trying to rush through this game, but am instead enjoying every aspect of it.
Deus Ex Human Revolutions, been waiting for a game like this since ages. Had fun playing the game and enjoyed the story
Havent Got to play that yet, but Ive heard nothinh but positive things about it. Think I might have to pick it up soon if you ignore the graphics of the game then this game is one of the greatest game of all time
There's been a few games I've played this year that have been awesome, but the standout for me is still Deus Ex Human Revolution. I had no intention of buying it, and when I did, what a fantastic surprise! Brilliant game! Although I haven't played Arkham City yet...
Deus Ex: Human Revolution, tied with Xenoblade. I spent much more time with the latter, but both are amazing games. I expect TLoZ: Skyward Sword to join the group when I play it through. I sure hope it does.

That would easily have to go to Batman. Although the Arcade title Renegade Ops is giving me more enjoyment than many of the mainstream titles for the whole year.
Deus Ex: HR, for me nothing comes close to how great this game is this year.. well except maybe Skryim which I have yet to play. I don't know why some have complained about the graphics as I think they're the best graphics I've seen in years, OK most npc facial graphics are awful but besides that it's almost flawless.
1. Batman: Arkham City 2. Driver: San Francisco 3. Bayonetta (played for first time this year) I would have put Arkham Asylum down as well (played it shortly before Bayonetta), but I thought it would have been a little redundant.
As for now it is Skyrim. But in 2 weeks or whatever, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Batman: Arkham City will take the number one place.. both of them.
Skyrim has probably been the best I've played but I haven't played a whole lot. Arkham City is probably better and I'm hoping that Skyward Sword is, too.

Arkham City is excellent and Skyward Sword looks amazing. I plan on picking up Skyrim once Ive beaten Dark Souls..might pick up a wii after christmas for Zelda
