So who else wants a return to Vice City for the next GTA?

I can't possibly be the only one.

I think out of all the games since GTAIII, I had the most fun in Vice City. I can't help but think how great it would be to visit Vice City again, with the power of current gen consoles running it. It wouldn't have to be set in the 80s; although there are slightly fewer pink shirts, Miami (the city after which Vice City is modeled) neon bright and drowned in drugs today as it was in the 80s.

Take it from me, I should know.

So, what do you guys think?

im with you on that, VC was a rly good game, problem with re-making it is that it can either go down the hill, or hit the top... but tbh, I think it will be a while before we will see a re-make of this...

To clarify, I'm not asking for a remake. I mean, a remake would be great, as Vice City was way ahead of its time anyway in the amount of content it offered. They could make an HD remake of it and offer it on XBLA and I'm pretty sure it would sell boatloads. I would get it on day one. But what I was talking about would be a brand new GTA experience set in Vice City.

Definitely...to me Vice City was the pinaccle of the series....the best music & radio stations, radio station personalities, characters, setting. I would definitely love to see the series return to 80's Vice City on the Euphoria engine.

I didn't like San Andreas, it felt like it was trying to do to much, and didn't have any kind of real focus and I didn't care for the setting at all. Not to mention I thought it got a little too over the top that it became almost stupid and I didn't think the soundtrack was any good or had any overall theme in the same way Vice City's amazing 80's soundtrack had.

So I would definely like to see the series go back to 80's Vice City, and especially deliver a great soundtrack again on the level that the series hasn't seen since Vice City.

Vice City took place in 1986, so maybe a new game set in Vice City could take place in '87 or '88....or maybe even set it before Vice City, like '84 or '82.

Hey, why not just replay Vice City?

San Andreas is one of my favourite games of all time, but I don't want a new game set there when so much hasn't been done yet. New city/state, please.

Vice City FTW

We've already been to Vice City... twice. Let's move on for once to a new city. Preferabbly a place where we can see more dynamic terrain(like San Andreas) and a good weather system(I'd like to see seasons for once in the game like snow).

As long as it is modern times I think it would be great. I just want to see some realistic a.i. in terms of getting away from a crime scene. Like they will actually look for you and not just know exactly where you are sending a infinite amount of cops your way.
