Crash used to be, and wasn't it Polygon Man before the launch of the PS1?bluezy
Him and Sypro before both went multiplatform and down the toilet quailty wise.
My own personal opinion is that Sony doesn't need a mascot. They've done fine without one.
sony could has so many solid snake, kratos, , all those final fantasy games, ratchet and clank and many more.gifteddieso basicaly anything 1st party? no, usualy its the companies 1st game but sony lost most of them now,
sony could has so many solid snake, kratos, , all those final fantasy games, ratchet and clank and many more.gifteddieNo to the bolded ones. They're neither 1st party nor completely exclusive.
Nintendo has Mario
Microsoft has Master Cheif
The closest sony has is Kratos or Ratchetmm551144
There isn't any correlation between mascots and commercial success. The tastes of hardcore gamers are so varied that the only way to win a majority of them is to offer a wide variety of games. Look at the two characters mentioned. Master Chief didn't do the Xbox any wonders last generation, and Mario didn't do much to stave the flight of gamers from Nintendo consoles (the marketshare of every Nintendo console inbetween the NES and Wii was only 50% of that of its predecessor) including the GC.
Casual games like Wiiplay and Wiifit are the reason the Wii is so much more successful than the GC and better developer support (Japanese developers not named Tecmo offered tepid support at best to the Xbox last gen) explains the greater success of the X360.
