Fine with me. There are more important things in the world right now and no one will die from waiting a little longer.

Know someone will call me unreasonable or insensitive but this is a cop-out response if I ever saw one.
I'm aware fanbois are throbbing at the tip to bash PlayStation for this, and as a rare case I would agree. Please Sony, ¥^%* you! this 'message' only reflects the US, all means best of luck/and/ safety to those protests for how stupid the hiring protocol of officers is over there. But let's be frank, we know they're just waiting for Microsoft to show a price tag, and this is a nice excuse to delay and wait yet again. Which is frustrating, because we have absolutely nothing to be excited for.
Sony was perfectly fine broadcasting Ghost of Tsushima and Last of Us 2 very recently. Plus nothing would have stopped them joining Summer Games Fest like so many others to display PS5, and doubtful all those reveals are being delayed for this 'crisis' in one country.
As someone who has bought a PS3 and PS4 at launch, can unbiasedly say that Sony have really dropped the ball from a marketing and hype standpoint. Keep in mind this new system is 'apparently' to be released in a few months time. At this point, don't bother till 2021.
Well aware Sony are thinking of those shiny new current gen games to sell. . C'mon! not every investor cares about The Last of Us! how many excuses do they need to delay even the smallest dump of what so many are craving for.
Just show something more than a controller and a logo. Backwards compatibility, UI, these awesomely short loading times they tell but don't show, the ¥^%*ing box!
You what?! Was really looking forward to it and would have brightened my day during this lockdown period. Jesus...
Unfortunate but completely understandable given the current circumstances. It’s only video games after all and there’s much more important things that need to be focused on right now. I’ll manage.
Cops are getting caught murdering innocent black people like they have been doing for years, the states and Canada are a volatile environment and I think everyone’s attention is turned to the police brutality. No sense in Sony unleashing news for their video game console right now.
pathetic imo. tens of thousands dying daily in other coutries from atrocities and it means nothing to sony. It smacks of sony not being ready or changing their plans.
There's nothing I can really say that hasn't already been said, but I am glad that Sony has delayed the event. In the current madness that is going on (pandemic + riots), I personally feel like this was a good choice on their part.
I eagerly await the introduction of the PS5.
In my opinion, Sony did the right thing and every gamer should understand this year has been a disaster and I shouldn't have to say anything further unless you been living under a rock from all the worlds events.
But right now, this is all I know as of now: The decision is under consulting with Sony@PlayStation. Sony is monitoring actual citizens critical situation in US to decide the final date. It's not simply to define a right date at this time, it could be moved definitely to end of June, if it's necessary.
