This could have some potential to be a GOOD video game based movie. I wish Peter Jackson did it though.

Wow. First he appears at MS's E3 Press Conference and now this. Spielberg is an Xbot, Confirmed!

Also, he's just producing it. While he does have a great track record producing great flicks, his most recent one, Transformers 2, was a big ****ing disaster. Worst movie I've seen in years. So let's hope he picks a decent director this time around.

J.J Abrams just showed everyone how to do a fantastic Sci-Fi movie, I doubt he'll be doing a Halo movie over the next Star Trek, but Peter Berg should be a decent choice.

EDIT: nvm. Apparently the script is written by the same guy who wrote the G.I Joe screenplay. Now if there's one movie that looks worse than Transfomers 2, it's G.I Joe. I saw a two minute clip and it looked like a trailer for the movie. It was like a 10 year old with a severe case of ADT directed the movie. But dont take my word for it, it's one of the worst, if not the worst, reviewed movie of the year.

With Spielberg attached they should be able to pick up a good director too. Can't wait! It looks like this could happen!
