Spyro. Crash was all right, but I've always liked dragons, so Spyro is right up my alley.
Pity what's become of the series, though. It's doubly sad because I honestly think there's still fire left in that there chest if they really tried; it just seems like they aren't even bothering.

Didn't the orginal team that made Spyro's on the PS1 break up? I think the PS2 games were made by new developers. The games seem too different to have been made by the original designers/programmers.
spyro and crash both got me into gaming in a huge way, but spyro is a timeless classic and i liked exploring better, crash was just too linear.

Insomniac the developers of the PSone Sypro games did not break up. Just like Naughty Dog, when they moved to the PS2 they developed a new franchise and stopped working on the Universal franchisees (Crash and Spyro). Insomniac went on to make the Ratchet and Clank games, currently for the PS3 they are working on the Resistance franchise, just like now Naughty Dog is working on Uncharted, instead of the Jak and Daxter seriees. Ratchet and Clank is a great series, probably the best 3D platformer series on the PS2. The PS2 was the system for 3D platformers with Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Sly Cooper series. Please Log In to post.
