I preferred Spyro over Crash becuase I liked exploring better then just going down a stright path in Crash games. I also liked the sound track much better in Spyro. Which did you like better? This includes Crash Bandicoots 1-3 and Spyros 1-3.

Crash Bandicoot, FTW. Warped being the greatest of the Crashes.

Warped is on my top 10 games of all time but I rated Spyro The Dragon above it.

I'm gonna have to go with Spyro here. Sometimes I pop in the old games just to hear the music.

Crash was always my thought of the definitive 3-D platformer. Spyro was lots of fun and I think I enjoyed playing as him more than I enjoyed playing with Crash but I'd still have to go with Crash.

Sypro: Year Of The Dragon was one of my favourite PS1 games, so I would go with that. The Crash games were great (Warped especially) but they were a bit too linear.

Spyro. Crash was all right, but I've always liked dragons, so Spyro is right up my alley.

Pity what's become of the series, though. It's doubly sad because I honestly think there's still fire left in that there chest if they really tried; it just seems like they aren't even bothering.

Didn't the orginal team that made Spyro's on the PS1 break up? I think the PS2 games were made by new developers. The games seem too different to have been made by the original designers/programmers.

Spyro for me. I only had the first 2 games in each series and I was interested in the Spyro games enough to complete them 100 percent. The crash games...not so much.

spyro and crash both got me into gaming in a huge way, but spyro is a timeless classic and i liked exploring better, crash was just too linear.

Always preferred Spyro. Cocky little dragon beats bug-eyed weird bandicoot hands down. The open style of play, exploratory nature, control and camera system as well as the inclusion of mythical creatures made it a far better game than the limited and linear, go back and do the level again to the special gem, play of bandicoot.

I prefer Crash, for some weird reason I never like Spyro so much, Back in those days I think I completed Crash Warped like 5 times.

Should have poll'd this. Regardless, I always felt the early Spyro games were much, much more entertaining and endearing than the Crash ones.

Insomniac the developers of the PSone Sypro games did not break up. Just like Naughty Dog, when they moved to the PS2 they developed a new franchise and stopped working on the Universal franchisees (Crash and Spyro). Insomniac went on to make the Ratchet and Clank games, currently for the PS3 they are working on the Resistance franchise, just like now Naughty Dog is working on Uncharted, instead of the Jak and Daxter seriees. Ratchet and Clank is a great series, probably the best 3D platformer series on the PS2. The PS2 was the system for 3D platformers with Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Sly Cooper series.
