Okay so i am a huge fan of the Kingdom Hearts games .................... Played 1 and 2 and managed to play on 358/2 days (couldn't get into that game very much though - plus I thought it was a spin off while number 3 was being created) .................... then when researching when the Kingdom Hearts 3 should come out, what do I find? that there have been several other bloody games for like 4 different platforms !! Starts off on PS2 with Kingdom Hearts [1] ...... then there was one on the Game Boy Advanced called Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories which was basically a bridge between 1 and 2 by introducing and previewing plot elements that would be explored in the next game ..... then back to PS2 for Kingdom Hearts 2 (so far everything was great and uncomplicated and you didn't really need to play the GBA one) ......... then look what happened ....... Kingdom Hearts: Coded ......... for MOBILE PHONES in japan?! and was soon to be re-made into Kingdom Hearts: re-coded for bloody DS !! this one picks up immediately after the events of kingdom hearts 2, so i am guessing it probably had some importance ............. although the DS version of this was released after the next 2 Kingdom heart spin off titles in jan 2011 .......... so imagining that Re-Coded was the next game after Kingdom Hearts 2 ..... we then get Kingdom Hearts 358/2 for DS (which is set in between Kingdom Hearts 1 and Kingdom Hearts 2, telling us what happened to roxas in the organisation ---- kinda important i guess) .... and then Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep for PSP (tells us about the origins of Sora and Xehanort and is set 10 years before Kingdom Hearts [1] ).......................... THAT'S 4 DIFFERENT PLATFORMS?! (excluding the mobile) AND MAYBE SOME OF THESE GAMES ACTUALLY HAD SOME IMPORTANCE TO THE ACTUAL STORY?! and NOW ...... they are making one for the 3DS called Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (which is said to be more of a main game than a spin off and has connections to re-coded, 385/2 days AND birth by sleep) ................ WHYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! THAT IS 5 DIFFERENT CONSOLES !!!!! and i dont know about you guys, but i am not rich and i do not care to have every single console that comes out !!! How are we supposed to play all these games, understand the complicated plot lines and still enjoy them if everything keeps changing?! WHY is Square Enix being so awkward? I understand they have the main team working on Final Fantasy VS XIII ....... and thats why they havent even started Kingdom Hearts 3 ......... but too many spin offs that have storyline in IS NOT GOOD!!! does anybody else see my point? do these games even matter?!

Because you implied that the stories were good, complicated but good. Convoluted stories aren't good.
but the stories are amazing!! i personally love them ........... just wish they werent on different games so i can understand all the other little details that just help support the main storyline
It's worrying to say the least. I liked the first game alot, but it was hard to get into the second because of how much catching up I had to do. That was with one game seperating the two. I have a feeling that when 3 eventually comes out it's going to be incomprehensible.

Convoluted stories aren't good... in most cases (I enjoyed the stories in the Metal Gear Solid series). There is nothing complicated about the story in Kingdom Hearts. It's just another poorly written story by Nojima filled withnonsensicalplot holes
