Does anyone know if there is a planned release of SSX sequel on PS3? I miss that game so much! If anyone knows anything about it, please give me a word.

(Sorry for my crapy English folks)

Nothings been said about a new SSX game. Shame too, as I'd love to see another SSX game.

I`ve just red on some other forum about a message hidden in the "radio show" in "Burnout" or GTA.. Cant correctly recall witch one. It was something about a character from ssx that is ready for a new trip to the mountain slopes.. Or something like that.Hope thats a hint form ea that they are considering a new release... But who knows, maybe it was just a little commercial for the PSP version...

Yeah, I heard about that. I think that was just a reference towards the fact that the radio DJ in Burnout Paradise was the one from the SSX series. I don't think it's a sign that they're making another SSX game. Though I could be wrong about that (and I hope I am), but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you, at least until we know for sure that another ones coming.

The first three SSX games were great (1 and 3 were flat out incredible, and I still play 3 now and again) but On Tour was so horrendous and misguided (overly crowded tracks, relegated to picking generic guys you created yourself as to the colorful characters fans had come to know and love, the fact everyone including the usually bubbly Kaori, was made meaner and 'edgier' in 4) was so horrendously bad I'm forced to wonder if key team members departed or something.

I never played SSX on the Wii, but I wasn't impressed by the video I saw and never heard anything good about it.

Since EA Big dissolved (and ruined once brilliant franchises like SSX, NBA Street and Def Jam Vendetta before its death) I'm kind of skeptical that we'll ever see another SSX. Heck, if EA can't do it right, its better that they not do it at all.

Well, as you said yourself "The first three SSX games were great" so, they did a lot of good too? But as the time went on and all of the ideas dried up, they just abandoned the game. I guess you could compare it with the last part of the "Matrix" trilogy (the movie..) Part 3 was horrible in my eyes... But its a new console era now. Think of all possibilities they have now.. What did they have to "play with" at the time the first games were made? 1-1,5gb and and a few hundreds of Mhz?

Think what they could do in a garden of 50+ gb and several Ghz... I wish I was millionaire.. I would resurrect the series my self :)

Well well, fingers crossed... the day is still young.

I loved SSX 3. The soundtrack was great, the graphics were great and the gameplay was great. I'd love to see a new one.

I don't think there will ever be a new next-gen SSX. It's been about 4 years since On Tour, and no news yet...
