people always asking for something, doesn't mean they will [or should] get it.

And they definitely should not get this. A garbage racer game off a garbage prequel movie? Honestly the only somewhat-worthy movie out of the prequels is Episode III.

Forget that, I'd like a remake of Star Wars: Shadows of the empire that was on the N64

because this game was inspired from a great idea of a mediocre Movie doesn't make it Garbage.

I would love a new Podracer game. I still play the old one to this day. Still fun as it always was. Of course, with EA holding the license I doubt it, but maybe someday they will tap back into the prequel stuff and pull together a good remake or reboot of this old gem.

I enjoyed this game as a kid and with the right team behind it, it could be really fun.

If EA owns it they'll do everything in their power to erase all memory of it from the face of the Earth.

@ChrisAnetkaC: You are most likely right about that. However, the new Battlefront 2 trailer shows some prequel content (Darth Maul), so there's like a glimmer of hope that EA won't truly rule out making a new Podracer. But with no news on it, I'd say yeah, this is an old forgotten relic.

Racer was a hugely popular and successful game that's fun as hell, as anyone who's played it will tell you.

Also episode 3 has far and away the most jokes about its script lel

@icedgunt: It was silly with Grievous and the droids making human silly voices rather than keeping a robotic tone like in 1 and 2. Dialogue was bad. I really did like the end fight with Obi wan and Anakin though, even though that was silly at times when they're both losing their balance on small parts in the lava or swinging like Tarzan with lightsabers at each other. The music was perfect and that end "I HATE YOU!" "You were my brother, Anakin, I loved you". Great end to a stupid, silly trilogy. Really though, there needs to be a resurgence of Podracing. Games, books, movies, TV. I love podracing. Sebulba's my homeboy!

@poe13: Yeah the prequels overarching plot was super weird and the script was pretty meh, lots of weird as hell lines. Honestly still a big fan of all three tbh. The one thing I think they did really right compared to every other star wars movie is world building. Stuff like podracing, the coruscant undercity, geonosis etc, really not stuff you see in the OT or in the more recent films (which is my major gripe with TFA and R1)

True, that prequel movie was garbage, I do agree with you on that (as a matter of fact, the whole second SW trilogy was a complete let down); though, Star Wars E1: Racer is actually fun, one of the best racing games ever made. Now, do we really need a remake of this game? I don't think so.
