I just got the controller for this game, $20 at a flea market. It didn't come with any foot pedals, but at the time I didn't know it was supposed to come with foot pedals either, which brings me to my question: can I use other Xbox foot pedals with the Steel Battalion controller, or do they have to be official brand? Also, does anybody know where I can buy an extra pair of foot pedals? I've already checked ebay, and haven't found anything. Thanks for your time and help :)
AFAIK, the SB controller's foot pedals are specific to that controller. You'll have to acquire a set somewhere, probably eBay. (It should also be noted that the pedals that came with the green-button control panel and those supplied with the blue-button control panel have different internal mechanisms, and thus feel very different. I can at least say that the second-gen set supplied with blue-button controllers put up quite a bit of resistance and can be tiring to keep held down all the way.) No, I'm not selling any part of my own SB set. Perhaps someone else at the STEELBATTALION.org forums can help you get a set of pedals if eBay, craigslist, or any other Internet outlet isn't working out for you.
