Real games that had heart, were innovative, or were truly complete are few and far between; now replaced by pay-to-win or fee-to-play...Sad times.

There are more than 100+ Games even if it sold more than over 1 million copies they add Microtransactions into the next sequel.

In-fact these games are not free to play you must pay upfront to try it, if it doesn't offer a playable demo. However It all started with DLC introduced to us on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3 and other games charging us for smaller maps with ridiculous price which really worked. Modern Warfare 2 made over $1bn mark after only two months on sale, yet with this huge success and install base instead off giving back the hardcore fans cool stuff such as add-ons they wanted you to pay for more. Everyone got used to it because they told us it supports the cost for a gaming production which majority of people don't believe it and that is true.

Forward till this day Microtranscations introduced while we thought Season Pass will give you everything. Now Microtransactions is taking an advantage of gaming and making it harder to earn skin, special guns or even get extra stuff by playing above 6 hours. Which some will find it #shadybusiness because is taking some of the experience of gaming + hurt consumer confidence, and games in general. EA has announced it plans to have microtransactions in all future games to purchase resources with real-world money.

Lets take an example of Forza Motorsport 5 and GT6: to unlock most of the cars yo u have to pay a crazy amount of money like the Bugatti which will cost you 2,000,000 in game currency as for the real money you will need to pay at least around £15.99 or spend hours and days till you give up despite the rest of the cars.

The PlayStation Store updated today with the prices for these. They are as follows:

  • 500,000 In-Game Credits (£3.99/€4.99)
  • 1 Million In-Game Credits (£7.99/€9.99)
  • 2,500,000 In-Game Credits (£15.99/€19.99)
  • 7 Million In-Game Credits (£39.99/€49.99)

This is another screen shoot from FM6 of their price plan.

All developers and publisher call it an alternative path to busy people. However this ridiculous alternative path way now became a very restrictive pay wall. Which now called day-one DLC or pre-order bonus. Instead of making it timed bonus then release it later for the players who saved money, or, got interested after watching the game on YouTube, well those people will be charged for it after launch as Microtransactions .

Anexample of Pre-order bonus is Mortal Kombat X 'Goro' one of the most beloved characters in the Mortal Kombat series. So if you were one of the unlucky fans to pre-order MK X in day one, you're out of luck!! You will be charged for extra $4.99 top of your $60. Although this will add more into the gaming experience if it was free after a week or 1-2 month of the launch of the game this is not just added skin or background. Also this character is already on the game disc blocked by Microtransactions. Which meansyou will never unlock this character at all, even by beating the game 3 times in hard mode, or by getting the Kombat Pack you will still need to pay for Microtransactions.

We'll thought Season Pass will give you everything in Evolve but not they fooled us using Microtransactions and can cost you $136 to get everything in the game.

If anyone still thinking Microtransactions will help developers, think again count how many games between 2013-2015 was unplayable and complete broken during launch. Don't forget Assassin's creed Unity which they made extra money from AC 3 using Microtransactions yet they didn't managed to get the game right!!

Here are some of the list of games that feature Microtransactions:

  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom Pain
  • Battlefield 4
  • Evolve
  • Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Ghost, Advanced Warfare & Black ops 3 (soon)
  • FIFA 14/15/16
  • Assassin's Creed from 3 all the way to Unity
  • Resident Evil: Revelations 2
  • Killer Instinct
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Uncharted 3
  • The Last of us
  • Gears of War: Judgment
  • LittleBigPlanet 1,2 & 3
  • Dead Space 3
  • Mass Effects 3
  • Gran Turismo 6
  • Forza motorsport 5
  • Halo 5 and more

Soif we all didn’t say something about this it will get worst in the future and the games will grow using Microtransactions. Which now became a shadybusiness. To stop this use the #STOPMICROTRANSACTIONS on social networks adding your own message why is wrong so your voice can be heard to developers and publishers.

I don't hate the microtransaction idea. It make the money stronger. And money is the key of the society.

But I admit that paying to win is not correct. But when we know about cheating and video games, I don't really understand how microtransaction is not good: It was a time cheaters had everything in games and now it's the payer.

I hear Ya ! I hate microtransactions they ruin video games ! I feel if I've paid y ou $60.00 for the game then I've paid you for the GAME which means I've payed you for everything that goes with this version of the game every add on, DLC , Mode, EVERYTHING ! I not only don;t like it when companies ask me for more money or try to microtransaction me. I'm insulted and feel betrayed by the company I supported ! I guess thats why this Square/Microsoft deal hurts me so much I feel betrayed. I've supported Tomb Raider for years and now Square has just given me the big middle finger say suck it we got a big check from Microsoft !

I'm okay with microtransactions as long as items are cosmetic or can be easily accessed through the game proper.

If the game is free, that is cool. If however developers are designing a game to encourage the players to pull out their credit card right after dropping sixty bucks to buy the game, there is a problem.

Stop being an entitled gamer and think game developers "owe" you something for free. They are a business and need to make money to survive.

Games have not increased in price for over 15 years and yet budgets have skyrocketed. They need to create ways to make that money back, because their customers keep demanding bigger and more graphically intense games but they can't increase prices to keep up.

Stop buying microtransactions then. When the mass stops buying them, pubs will remove them. Though figure out some other way to leech us if they do remove it.

I've never had a problem with microtransactions for any AAA $60 product.

I don't understand why people complain about this. Just don't buy them, you will still enjoy the game completely without them.
