I have all three, but I've only played Dreamfall and Indigo Prophecy. And I've only played either of those for a couple of hours each. I don't know, but I've heard really good things about all of them.
I've only played Shenmue 2 and Indigo Prophecy. Since I found Shenmue to be incredibly boring (probably didn't help that I hadn't played Shenmue 1 when I picked up Shenmue 2) I'm going to have to say Indigo Prophecy, though I think IP is a great game anyway so it's not like I'm giving my vote to it by merely by default.
Well, I haven't played Farenheit (Indigo Prophecy) for a long time, but from what I remember the story was really compelling and the way it was told was innovative but it did get a bit out of hand later in the game. Dreamfall wasn't as innovative but the setting and characters are more memorable to me, though its story wasn't as good as The Longest Journey's (the first in the series)....
It's hard to pick one, but I'd probably say Shenmue 2, as it felt more epic and portrayed the experience better as you got more freedom to explore and the music was brilliant, though the English voice-over was patchy at best (the Dreamcast's japanese voices were much better, I wish they'd kept them). It's a shame that it's unlikely that neither Shenmue 2 or Dreamfall's stories will ever be finished.
