I want to get SF4 but not sure which console to get it for. Which has the best online? I heard PC's online community is bad, is this true?

Depends if you're fine w/ a Sixaxis then you know what to dojasopani'm fine with it, do most people prefer a 360 controller instead? I don't want to turn friends away.
[QUOTE="jasopan"]Depends if you're fine w/ a Sixaxis then you know what to dochocobo7000i'm fine with it, do most people prefer a 360 controller instead? I don't want to turn friends away. A 360 controller is horrible for fighting games. If you really want to play it on the 360, I suggest you pick up either a standard edition arcade stick or a tournament edition stick (the TE, or Tournament Edition, would be the better choice). Either way, it will help your game improve tremendously and you won't have to bother yourself with the aggravation or frustration that comes with the standard XB360 controller. The same is also recommended for the PS3 as well.
Usually I would say, no matter what game, buy it on PC, but for your own good, please....PLEASE buy it on the PS3. Understand, most PC fighting game communities are terrible (just look up guilty gear), and truely, you will find better competitions on the consoles (especially PS3. Heard many of the best players are on PS3.)
on the comment about the 360 controller: The controller for 360 is utterly terrible. half the inputs dont even register on time. Also, for a Cammy player like myself, inputing the move Hooligan Combination can be disasterious, and there is a gaurentee, no matter how well you play with controllers, you will miss the 9 input 20% of the time.
Now, I personally do not know what it is like to use a PS3 controller, but there if you want to have the best time playing Street Fighter IV, I suggest Buying the MadCatz SFIV Fightstick. And no, Not the standard but the tournament edition. even though the standard edition is much more responsive than the 360 controller, the buttons used for it are terrible, and one of them will, if you play Fighting games as much as me, (I played Soul Calibur IV, Street Fighter IV, and Blazblue on the stick atleast an hour a day) lose responsiveness within about 3 months. Also, there is a washer in the joystick box that is loose and can scratch up a few things on the inside. So, Unless you plan on paying the money to get new buttons for the Standard (which, most likely, will become the same price as Tournament edition.... more more), Its best to go for the extremely Durable Tournament edition, which, unlike the Standard, has some dang good Sanwa Buttons. If those are too responsive for you though, you can go and order yourself some Semietsu buttons, which, while a little more resistant, it will hold up as long as Sanwa buttons.
thanks I guess i'll wait. when does it come out?If you don't mind, I suggest you wait for Super Street Fighter 4 which is an updated version with 8 - 10 extra characters, two ultras per person, new stages, combat and characters were tweaked, etc. It will also retail for around $40, it will not be a full price game.
As for your question, go with the PS3 version.
