I was in a Halo 3 custom games lobby and this scrub joined my party. He was playing CoD4 and he says to us " I hate this game, the graphics suck. " He then goes and puts in MW2 :P
I have heard thousands I am sure, and sure don't remember them all. When pvp got started up, use to hear some comments that would blow your mind. "Oh my, someones pixels got killed in a game". Where do you live? I am going to come to your home and kill you, lol.
Live chat has added its moments as well. Maybe not so much under stupid, but funny. Amazing how a single word may cause confusion, or at least a break, for discussion.
Decal = Sticker. or a name for a outside program. A conversation can become quite interesting when you start hearing gecko. What are you talking about, a lizard? Wait gecko with a d on front of it, ah? Seen a few interesting things with different pronunciation, from other countries.
"9 months til Skyrim, now I know how pregnancy feels". =PAllicrombie
HAHA now that guys was funny....
I just had a kid on CoD: BO screaming shut up for atealst 10 min :P
calling an "extra life" in a home console videogame. A "free man" which is an outdated term from back in the acrade day originating with the game "Pac man" when you got an extra life it was correct in a "free man" since you paid a quarter to play the game.
To use the term in a home console game is bad English stupid since you have already own the game. so getting a 1upand still calling an extra life a "free man"
"owned" in real life. I absolutely hate people who use that word in real life to describe that they beat someone.Pvt_r3dThat and when they just randomly yell out "FAIL" every time something bad happens, absolutely can't stand it.
Some kids always think they're better than others, just because of a damn record. When I created a Zombies lobby in Black Ops, some kid and his friend joined and claimed "my record is double yours, so you should follow me, noob lawl." (I survived 12 rounds, he survived 24 rounds) On our first attempt, he kept on getting downed ON THE FIRST 5 ROUNDS. On a second attempt, he was just exploiting that down glitch with his friend, which was so damn annoying. On our third attempt, I survived lots of rounds by ignoring him :Ptekken220I would've used a shotgun to his face. Either that or smack him out of that area and into a zombie and let it eat his pixelated guts out xP
"It's only a demo." No it isn't, the final game is going to be exactly like that. The only difference is that they might correct you falling through the floor and out of the map when you do that. They aren't going to cancel releasing the game to make it not suck. The only time where things might, key word might, change is in an alpha test, not a beta or demo. Because at beta stage glitches are being fixed and balancing getting done, the core game won't change.
People blaming hardware for bad games instead of dev's
The cell is better than everything else
I was also playing online in BFBC2 and a guy had his mic on talking and his kid started crying but another guy hooked up his mic just to say "Shut that baby up, Im leaving this **** squad" and then left the game.

^^This could be nominated for one.
As I remember the GOW III demo being very different to the final game with added sections. So that quote works well here
This is a thread just created today that says:
"If PSN is not up by 8pm tonight then......im going to jump out of my 29th story window. I believe i can fly"

I'm referring to the gameplay. Obviously the demo isn't going to have the full game but the final product remains largely the same.

On this I will agree alright
"Pwned, Noob, Owned, FAIL." I hate all of these with a passion, and will try my best to get as far away from anyone who uses them as quickly as possible. Mostly I find those under 13 to do it, and I'm not around them that often (aside from my Nephew, but if he says it once I ask him to leave), so it's all good. If only they could know how incredibly stupid they sound.

Don't forget "Epic" that word has been overused way too much

Have a nice flight :)
I was at my friend's house playing MW2 on 360, and we were chatting with a friend about how he had just got FF XIII. This kid gets on and starts saying that "Final Fantasy is a stupid game, RPG's don't take strategy at all. You just push buttons and watch your character do everything. COD is way harder than FF." (that was a paraphrase. the discussion took place over about a minute.) Apparently COD takes more strategy than any other game, you really have to be smart to play.
I couldn't answer, I was astouned that he actually thought COD required strategy. I prayed he was joking, but I really couldn't tell. He then proceeded to go 4/15.

When they actually say "lol" you do not say lol, you laugh if your talking on the mic. That is the meaning of lol. lol
edinsftw
I hate when people say "lol" out loud, or any kind of abbreviation (OMG, WTF, ROFL).
If I'm using a mic, I prefer to laugh as loud as I possilbly can. Just to be sure they hear me.
- People who refer still refer to the current crop of home consoles that we've had for over 5-years as "next gen".
- People who proclaim that a Console game is better then a PC game, because they can "play from their couch"....as if playing on a couch somehow effected the actual quality of a game while also ignoring this option is available across platforms.
- People who claim that any of the current gaming platforms "failed" or is "dying".
- People who claim that a PC gaming rig costs "thousands of dollars".
- How at the beginning of ever year, that specific year is proclaimed as the "best year in gaming ever"....then at the end of the year, we get the talk about how the year was a big disappoint....this pretty much happens every year.
- Gamers who proclaim that a game will be "guaranteed GOTY" based on a trailer, sometime even as little as a CGI teaser trailer.
It's not really a stupid thing to say, but I do hate that some have come to terms with saying it.
"There will be a patch."
Just annoys me that the ship it now, fix it later mentality is being accepted.
