Suikoden should I skip the first one.?

I haven't played them in a long time. From what I remember, the stories aren't closely related (but they are too an extent) so you don't really have to play the first to understand the second. But I highly recommend you do.

the 1st games story isnt needed to enjoy the 2nd, but its a great game too that shouldnt be missed

no the first one is great.. i just finished it last week and im glad i played it and its actually pretty short for a jrpg

While the first, isn't necessary to play in order to enjoy the 2nd, they are just both very good games that I would recommend playing them both. Hence, start from the first. ;)

Omg the first game is great. I personally like it better than 2.
