SMB 3, seemed too difficult as the levels went on. It was probably because of the difficulty that I couldn't get into it as much as I did the first game.
Maybe I didn't like the game as much, either, because of all the hype made over it, along with a movie that ended up being a commercial for the game. I did like The Wizard, overall, though.
SMB3 was THE best SMB game ever. i actually find it pretty funny how no one ever mentions SMB 2. that one was a joke.summer_star17x
The only proper response to that is. :| 2 was and is still an amazing game, just a bit less "Mario" than some of the others due to it taking place in SubCon.

I know I may sound like a Nintendo Fanboy,but Im quite the opposite...Though I like Mario(by the way I prefer the classics to the 3D ones)..Im a HUGE Sonic fan and have all his games,past and present.
Bros 3 vs SMW would be a good question, I wouldn't know which one to choose. This question isn't so bad though since the first bros was awesome at the time, but bros 3 beats it easily.
I would have to say 3rd, and I'll give my reasons.
The first of course, is awesome, but it was too repetitive, only got harder. The third offered a HUGE varity of powerups, levels, enemies, and so on. There was a major span of secrets you could find in a majority of the different levels. I could go on about it, but I want to keep this short. It's only to be expected that the one that came later would be better, at least in the early days of gaming (Sonic and the Secret Rings, anyone?). SMB3 was better than SMB because they had so much room to improve. The US SMB2 shouldn't really be considered a Mario game when you consider the design process: Decide JP SMB2 too difficult, find different game, swap sprites.
A really hard question, is like asking wich parent, son, daughter you love more, just kidding.
While I agree that in SMB 3 the world is more vast that in the first one, the first game really put the standards on how the mario games would be: a water scene, multi powers, enemies like turtles and fungies, etc. Really is a hard question, even tough I really like SMB3 and had a lot of fun, I choose SBM cause it brings a lot of memories.
The original Super Mario Bros. was that one hot girl that just moved to your school that now everyone can't stop talking about, her hair and eyes are beautiful and her body is perfect and she can't help but be nice to everyone. Now Super Mario Bros. 3 came 5 years later, so now she's all that, plus she's legal age, became a supermodel and makes millions of dollars a year. Which girl would YOU go out with? 8)
