You know whats the greatest thing about the virtual console other than playing old favorites,Its getting Games you missed.

And after DLing super metroid,I cant help but wonder how I missed out on it,A truly awsome game.

Same. I'm lucky to own the actual cartridge, but I wish it could've been a fresh experience for me again.

Glad to hear you're enjoying Super Metroid. it's a great game, and I have memories of going through such a magnificent classic back at High School.

I just commented on this in another post, but Super Metriod after all this time still sits at the top of my all time list...

I remember getting that game the day it came out and playing it forever, i can't even count how many times i've gone through that game...

Agree with above post... A little envious of people getting to experience it for the first time, however those experiencing it for the first time today will not walk away with the same opinion of the game seeing as how it will be compared to available games today instead of being looked at as the landmark title it was...

Super Metroid is a classic that holds up well even today. I'm glad they put it on VC, now a whole new generation of kids can try it for the first time.

Experiencing old clas-sics that you haven't played before is a great feeling. For example, once I got a pretty good PC, I was finally able to play games like Far Cry, War Craft III, and the Call of Duty series.

So have fun with Super Metroid. I played that game like no tomorrow when I first got it. I think I can still find every item if I played it again.

I haven't played this game either. I hope to download it whenever I get access to Virtual Console.

It's a legendary game. Exploring the worlds and getting all the power-ups is the best feeling ever. As far as I see it, Metroid Prime was just Super Metroid converted to 3D. EDIT: the Shinespark is the best.... move... EVER!...in any game! ^__^
