Yeah, this game was so underrated on the cube. I loved every piece of it. It hooks onto you and you can't stay waaya for more than a day.
It's funny to call it underrated considering that it received a lot of praise and many good reviews, but I agree. It deserved even higher acclaim.Yeah, this game was so underrated on the cube. I loved every piece of it. It hooks onto you and you can't stay waaya for more than a day.

Well it was my second Tales game. And yes it was a really great game. Especially since the gamecube had so few memorable rpg's, and coming from the N64 which had just one rpg in its entire lifespan, Paper Mario. And that was released at the end of its life cycle.
I think it deserved higher, at least here on GameSpot, considering all the number of sidequests that could be done, and how much time a person can spend on this game, especially since they weren't going to get many like it if they only had a gamecube. Unfortunate that I never bought it back in the day, but instead as a "player's choice" when I first bought my Wii. At least one company has its backwards compatibility right! I've yet to actually play the sequel on the Wii, I'm just waiting until I'm not busy (which could border on never) since it received such bad reviews. so I'm going to have to be really patient with the game.
This game actually made me quit most RPGs. Why? Because i thought no other RPG compared to this game at all. No where close IMO. One of my favorite games of all time.
Now that i think about it though, the gamecube had a few truely awesome games (Zelda WW, Metroid Prime, etc.)
