valkyria chronicles has a great story and the gameplay is realy fun. think of advance war for the GBA but in a 3d environment. its rly sick. i havent been able to play anything else since i got it cuz its soo good. the characters are memorable and each have a unique personality unlike some RPG where the main characters are pretty cliche. definite buy.

Valkyria Chronicles features gameplay that combines turn-based elements with real-time elements. It will appeal to players familiar with other TRPG's.

The plot is a cliche, but it was well executed as a cliche and assuch the characters are very likeable and the there are some very clever plot twists within the latter-half of the game. Unlike other TRPG's, the 'Generic' characters in this game are not generic and have very unique personalities. Even if you haven't played any other TRPG's, I would recommend this game - it's one of the best JRPG's available.

I've only played the tales of Vesperia demo, but the gameplay was fun and addictive. Other people have praised the game highly.

I like Chronicles better, both games are worth playing though.

I wasn't much of a fan of either, but Tales of Vesperia was a tad better.

I've played both and thought both games were amazing. I would go with Tales of Vesperia because i thought it was the overall better game (and also Yuri Lowell is the best jrpg main lead EVER).
