Both are namco both are fighters but one with fists and the other is with swords and weapons. I prefer tekken though..
For me its VF > SC > DOA > Tekken, the last tekken game I couldn't put down was Tekken 3 a long time ago :).csliney
I've never played soul calibure... is it the same as soul edge?

Oh really? then I did play a soul something game :D
Considering Tekken 6 has yet to be defecated upon by destandardization (despite the weapon scare early on), I've got to go with that one.
Project Soul just keeps finding new and creative ways to tank their series.
Tekken is clearly the game Namco is prioritizing when it comes to pushing gameplay. Soul Calibur after the second game has been marginalized a lot due to the successes Tekken have brought them with Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: DR. Tekken is now stronger in Japan then it has ever been. Tekken is also a far better game then Soul Calibur to begin with.Jonas_81
when it comes to core gameplay yes Tekkenis better, but when it comes to artstyle, presentation, and side features I think Soul Calibur is worlds ahead....Anyway, I really think its too close to say, I actually think the weapon system in Tekken 6 sounds more gimmicky then the inclusion of Yoga and Vader in SC IV and thats saying something.
Tekken cuz they aren't using a stupid star wars gimmick!ElArab
That is a reason why I want to see the game, because I want to see how they fit the Star Wars side of it into the story. Logic says that swords are broken by lightsabers, so I am really interested to see how Yoda ties into the 360 version, and how Vader ties into the PS3 version.

Aren't their weapons magical though?
Soul Calibur. I love the Character creation in the third SC. I hope there is more of character creation in the 4th.ChicaQueenWarGa
yea i no wat u mean....especially when those two new characters wer introduced.....zasalamel or sumthin like that and also that new girl with the circle weapon thingie

DOA better then Tekken? No. VF is the best fighter, but Tekken is second. I don't think SC4 will be balanced at all with these Star Wars fighters. I mean X360 players are basically gonna have to hit Yoda with all low attacks. *shakes head*
And DOA shouldn't even be in the same conversation with ANY of those 3D fighters.

Tekken has always had great extras in their games. Tekken Bowling? Tekken Force? Soul Calibur hasn't been AAA material since it came out on Dreamcast. Every Tekken has been great with the execption of Tekken 4. And even Tekken 4 brought new things to the table.
