If you don't like the game, you can't sell it to anyone. This completely eliminates the 2nd hand market. Granted you probably wouldn't get that much money for a $10 game like Mega Man 9 anyway but I just thought that was kind of interesting.

That and you can also run out of room. Stuff could get corrupted. The more important part of what you were saying, you end up with crap games you dont even want because you didnt get to rent them first.

If your console dies, have fun dealing with the DRM nightmare.

While that certainly does suck, especially on Wiiware and some PSN games because they lack demos, I find my biggest concern to be with the next gen. I've purchases about 5 titles thus far off of PSN- if I buy in to a PS4, will Sony allow me to transfer these games? I'm betting not, since it could be a complete nightmare to keep track of who bought what.

That's the real reason I'm concerned- it's already bad enough when BC isn't consistent, but I don't want my games locked to a box and they will die when that console dies.

I don't think that'll be a problem actually. I'm not sure how it works on PSN but I have transfered my rights to games I have downloaded from one 360 to another and it worked quite easily. I imagine it'll work the same way when Microsoft brings out their next console.

I think MS will do OK- if they don't allow you to transfer the games, it's simply because they don't want to allow you.

But when I see Sony cutting BC out of the PS3 and I'm not sure how well PSN is designed behind the scenes, I'm concerned about those games for the PS4. Plus it's the first time we've ever had this happen (downloadable games on consoles), so there's no precedent. Guess we'll find out soon.

That's 100% your fault.

People have information on EVERY game, thanks to the internet.

This means tons of screens, videos, previews, reviews, etc.

If you still feel uneasy, don't buy the game. It's that easy.

People who spend their money without conducting the proper research have no one to blame but themselves.

I believe Microsoft has already said before that they plan on carrying everything like achievements, gamerscores, etc. over to their next console. I'm not sure if they specifically mentioned downloaded games but all things considered that pretty much seems to be a given considering all those other aspects being carried over.

Doesn't matter whose fault it is, its still the truth. ANd it doesn't matter how many videos, reiviews, and screenshots you see, you still can't acurately tell if you will like a game. A demo definetely helps alot, but guess what, you can like a demo and not end up enjoying the full game like you though you would anyways. I have a few downloaded games that I wish I could 'trade in' or something. Plus, doing to much 'research' can often ruin the fun and surpirse a good game.

Well... Didn't Microsoft also say the Xbox 360 would be backwards compatible...?

Or sometimes even if you think you will like it it ends up not being all that good to you. Hell that's how I feel about Dead Rising.
