Red faction. It's ancient and has terrible graphix but it's pretty cool! you can get rockets and you can actualy blow huge holes in walls which gives it a more realistic feeling.....actualy..it's the only realistic thing in the game!!
Everyone runs like Crash Bandicoot and peoples eyes look like there going to jump out of there face's!!!

The graphics are actually above average for a PS2 game.
I also recommend Red Faction 1 and 2.
Call of Duty 2 is also good and so are the Medal of Honor games.
None of them really, 'cept the really old ones(see: FPSs that aren't for cowards) like Doom, Quake, Serious Sam(definitly), Hexen & Heretic, etc.
We need less Halo 3 and more Serious Sam 3. Oh well. Halo fanboys that have never played any other FPS but can tell you without a doubt that all other FPS suck compared to halo will be halo fanboys that have never played any other FPS but can tell you without a doubt that all other FPS suck compared to halo. Or maybe I've just become bitter from having to deal with people who buy an Xbox and never buy any other game but Halo 3 all day.

Halo 1 and 2 (not 3 that game was to easy even on legndary THANK YOU BUNGIE FOR KILLING A FANBOY. Helped save me alot of money from future purchases in the halo universe)
Its disapointing there is no sequel to republic commando. The only star wars game that I fell in love with ALOT to be disapointed by the ending leaving me to want more. But the atomsphere was great, intense combat, etc. more games to focus on that kind of gameplay to be fun again.
Did you see that there is a prequel coming out for it? S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky!

Yes yes yes! I read it will be even more open ended. Stalker gave me that sense of struggling for survival like no other game before, I hope the prequel-sequel Clear Sky can replicate it.
i gotta say the original halo. im pretty jaded on the series overall, but the first one is still an amazing game. it was one of the few FPS's i played where i felt i got better as i played it more. it had good weapon variety and maps. the games after the first halo were more of the same and jus not as great IMO
Doom is my favorite. I know there is no story but the gameplay is just awesome. The first time that you see and hear a centaur is just awesome.
For a modern game Bioshock is amazing, I have only had the oppurtunity to play the demo but I don't think anything current stands up to it.
Halo? (the first one) Give me a break. Most of the levels are a few layouts repeated over and over again. It was fun but should be a candidate for the most overrated game of all time.
