The Best Game You've Never Played

I'll admit it...I never played Star Fox on the Super NES, but am looking forward to a VC release.

What's one game you know is great but you haven't played?

Dude, Star Fox on SNES is 'da bomb'...It really hard though. (so are all games on the older generation platforms)

I'd really like to try to play FF7. All my friends say it's the ultimate RGP.

I would guess Deus Ex. There are a few others that get more critical acclaim that I haven't played or are higher on all-time greatest lists, but based on fan love and critical acclaim combined it would be Deus Ex. Close call though as my list of unplayed greats is too big for my liking.

I actually thought the second game was better. I would still recommend playing the first one first though as well just for the sake of keeping any semblance of the story coherent.

MGS4 thats a sweet game and I don't even own a PS3. (I KNOW IT'S NOT OUT!!!)

Anything Japanese, I just can't get around the style and generally bad (or lack of) voice overs. Most of the stuff in Japanese games just annoys the hell out of me. I know FF7 and some others are some of the best games ever, I could like an FF movie so much better than the game as long as they get decent english voice actors or Japanese voice actors that don't sound constipated.

I can't enjoy a story-driven game with so little effort put into voice acting, and when I hate how pretty much every character looks, it's just my opinion

More than you can count. Everything said in this thread, plus more. Except God of War (2, not the first one), which I played once.

I'm too poor for games. I've had the PS3 since launch and only have 4 games for it (soon to be 3). But it was worse for the PS2. I only have what, 7 games for it after 4-5 years? And the Genesis... the games were $1 each at the time. Only about 10 games. Nintendo 64... 3 games, I think. Gamecube? Can't remember, probably 6. PC? Orange Box, and soon Oblivion (the reason my PS3 games will be 3 in total is because of returning Obl. for the PC version). But I have rented a bunch of games...

Deus Ex. It's just sitting there on my computer waiting to be played but I just never play it... I don't know why. I will probably sit down and do it this summer. I played the intro... but that was nothing.foxhound_fox

Anyways the only games that I'll probably like that I never got are the God of War games... Maybe one day

Prolly Jade Empire or Mass Effect.

When a company start doing a move or two in a direction I dislike I still support them. When they keep going, again and again and again in that direction, I stop purchasing it.

Everytime I consider BioWare, I wonder what they will have drop, what will make them less RPGs(what they are at the start) and more Action-Storytelling (what they are becoming). See, occasionnally 1 change or 2 in a direction is good (BG was such a change), but eventually, it leave you feel as crippled and hurting. Life is already behaving that way on you after 30...don't want a videogame company to behave the same. Losing is not fun. Regressing isn't either.

I will never try Jade Empire and I may try Mass Effect when the price drop to $20...or not.

Dude, Kratos from God Of War 2 was bonerific, there is some serious brutality in that game im sure you would enjoy. As for myself.... cant really think of anything. Crysis I suppose.GodModeEnabled

I thought about it but never actually read anything about this game, so I have no idea if I'll like it. I'm thinking of getting Odin Sphere, super smash bros melee and a few others before cross/trigger. Which one should I play first?
