For me, since XBOX didn't fascinate me all that much in exclusives, I'm going to go with PS2 + GameCube as not only do they have more exclusives that fit my interests, but most multiplats do too and since PS2 has a whole lot of third party support (best in that gen), that's another reason.

For those who have/had all three consoles, what two consoles fit you most?

How come the Dreamcast isn't included? :(
Anyway, PS2 + GameCube out of the given options.

I know it's a bit unfair to say, but I almost never consider Dreamcast due to the fact that it was completely obliterated out of that gen.

It was still a part of it though :P

Anyway I pick Dreamcast + PS2.

PS2 + XBOX Which is what I have, it's the best combo if not counting the DC imo.

Xbox and GameCube. Heirren

My choices as well, mostly because I like their controllers the best. Four good systems that gen though. We were spoiled!

Gamecube and Ps2 is winning the Poll. That makes no logical sense to me but very well. I personally would say PS2 and Xbox. The combination of btoh allows you to get exclusive that cover all the genres, and then you have both also having PC-ports of great games. However, most of the great ports are on the Xbox since most PC/Xbox games were actually ported from the Xbox or so they say. Not to mention you would have a heck of a game library and tons of variety for all demographics and genre lovers.

I supported the PS2 (and the Dreamcast) steadily during it and eventually picked up a Cube when they came down to $99. Have to admit, I do miss the 6th gen. That was an exciting generation!

I honestly can't answer this because I felt like each console brought something different to the table. I know that I love each for different reasons and would be very unhappy if one of them were left out :(

Gamecube and Gameboy Advance :P

I played a lot of PS2 back in the day but I don't actually have one so I missed out on a lot of good games.

I got the original Xbox in 2008.

Unlucky me--I was thinking about getting a PS2, but I'm not sure what I need to look up since a lot of PS2 games were re-released as HD collections etc.

This is a tough choice, actually. All 3 consoles have their strengths. I own all 3 for that reason (and they're pretty cheap to get a hold of nowadays).

If I was forced to choose, I would choose PS2 and XBox, though.

PS2 because it has the largest and most varied library of games, and ironically the cheapest as well (most of the time). The games are also very easy to find since GameStop is still selling them, at dirt cheap prices to boot.

XBox because it has a lot of great action-RPGs, which is my favorite genre, as well as the best versions of multiplatform games that generation. And Morrowind and Halo 1 & 2 are must have games for me. 3 of my all-time favorites.

Well, I currently have all three systems (I'd like to pick up a dreamcast as well, but they aren't as easy to come by.) The Ps2 is essential to me, the library is huge, the console is pretty solid and the games are all super cheap. If I had to choose I'd go PS2 and Gamecube because it covers the widest breadth of games. I really have been enjoying my xbox as well lately, but there is a lot of cross over there between it an the PS2, I also worry a little bit about it's reliability it usually takes a bit of convincing to get it up and running correctly (repositioning the system and such.)

Gamecube+Dreamcast for me. I love all four sixth generation machines (and the handhelds) but I've always been a SEGA/Nintendo guy first and foremost. I'd trade modern Sony, Microsoft, and a first round draft pick for a new SEGA console in a heartbeat.
