The Division - Im lost....

I have been playing it for 3 hours now and I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm running around and there are no more missions. I see other people and don't know if I should shoot them or not. If I don't then what? can someone explain to me what am I supposed to do. I have tried searching google for similar topics but it seems like I'm the only one thats lost.

Have you established a base yet? That's the first thing you do where you clear out the hostiles in the streets. Once you have your base then there's three places inside to visit. Each one has a laptop that you just go to and you press and hold X to get the info. Then you can select a mission by pressing the start button giving you a map. I did the Medical one. That's as far as I've gotten so far. Now it's telling me to "Locate the Dark Zone Entrance". In the top right next to your radar it should give you the distance to your next objective and you should see a yellow line guiding you to the objectives.

@Archangel3371: yea I have done all that. when I enter the dark zone, that's when I get confused. there are no missions and people just run around doing nothing.
