in the "why is this so popular" sense or what? Last Red Dead was so boring. I kinda liked Revolver on Xbox as it was constant action. The endless horse riding through nowhere killed Redemption for me...just give me a loading screen and take me to the action.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is becoming a popular GD subject. And it'll only go up from here, with its release and rumored Battle Royale mode. I'm expecting threads like "RD2 best game of all time" "how did we enjoy games before RD2" before it's even released.
Like yourself I didn't think much of the first either, it's ok, some good shootouts but the open world just wasn't for me. Very unlikely to play its sequel.
@Peasly: Personally don't see the relevance for threads that entirely focus complaints for gaming popularity. On average every few months a new game takes that spot, and then the cycle continues with complaints all over again, usually from the few people who never gave these game(s) a go.
And while I agree it's very rare these games are all that great from my personal standpoint. Calling people "noobs" or "kids" for liking trending games, is childish and barely conversation worthy.
@Peasly: My communication is being misunderstood, my apologies. I mean the thread itself, it invited negativity instead of interesting discussion. Not everyone followed that pattern, however is the threads intent. And was vastly shown.
