The Game Industry Needs more Victorian Era

Am I the only one craving more Victorian era based games? Hell, maybe even an Assassin's Creed game set in the Victorian era.

@SirSlimyScrotum: Games based on Jules Verne or H. G. Welles might be interesting. It seems to me Bioshock had some characteristics that were reminiscent of a Verne or Welles story. The question is, is there enough of a market for such games to motivate the game developers to make them?

Agreed. I enjoy the Sherlock Holmes games because of this and also why the Worgen starting area in WoW is my favorite.

I agree, it's something I absolutely loved about Dishonored, the Neo-Victorian setting.

@capaho: I don't think the lack of automatic weapons and explosions will sell.

Games need more diversity with regards to culture. Swapping westernize with westernize; and I using the term loosely, is not much of a change.

Something similar to the original Thief series...Good ol' memories!
