About 7-8 months ago, I started to notice I wasn't enjoying games as much anymore no matter how much I tried. No matter the title, no matter the amount of games, no matter the uniqueness, no matter the style, no matter if I got my weekend.

Maybe its that im to busy or whatever, but its a shame, I really used to be a big gamer where this was all I breathed and lived and done did. Its almost like I don't care anymore, but I want too! Like a disease! My doc wont be able to cure this one!!!!

Anyone just turn this way suddenly? what do you think caused this in your life? what have you done to cure this disease?

Disease? Sounds to me like you're overexposing yourself. Stop following the news, do other things and play videogames only once in a while, I'd say. Or maybe it's simply time to move on to another hobby. Broaden your horizon. There's more in life than videogames.

Also, try to find out why you don't care anymore and see if it's something you can work on. You appear to have no idea where this feeling is coming from, so it might be useful to find that out first. If you are indeed too busy, then it might be that you can't clear your head enough to really enjoy a videogame. Depending on what it is that you're so busy with there might be ways to take some pressure away, though.

Agree with loafofgame. Maybe a break for a while is needed. A few of us here have gone through the same thing. No matter what.....relax. Hope all goes well.

Personally, I haven't liked video games like I used to for a while. I prefer working, playing my bass and hanging out with friends more than playing games. I'm even debating if I will buy anything more than the PS4 and Vita. I might get the 3DS to keep me in touch with Nintendo though since I will be avoiding the Wii U since the controller gives me hand cramps and since Nintendo charge a small fortune for every single extra (Wii Remotes, Gamecube Port Addon, Controller Pro, etc.). I feel that since I have been playing video games less that the PS4 and Vita are the cheaper route. 1 handheld, 1 console, 1 controller is all I need and no addons to make games more enjoyable.

There comes a time in everey gamers life when he gets over that faze in his life. So dont be afraid, its normal. Some of us get tierd of the way life, some cant find that "sparkle" effect games gave us before, and some just get old :P

Just relax and go with the flow ;)

There's always some sort of period where people get sick of games. Just take a break and find something else to do, it will come back. It did for me

@loafofgame:Thanks for the advice, you seem like a very smart fellar! read me like a book through one post, basically you are spot on, Ive been actively seeking real life hobbies as of late, and I have yet to find something I absolutely love, as gaming has been the only thing I honestly have known and can do my whole life. I know for a fact I will love rollerblading, saving money to get a decent pair, so I know that this is the answer, is to have more of a life, I guess this will clear my mind huh? that's my goal :)

i've found throughout my life that gaming comes and goes in waves. there'll be periods of intense gaming, periods were you feel a bit disillusioned - let's be honest there's a huge good quality game drought at the moment so i'm sure many are currently feeling a bit like this - and other times when stuff in your personal life / job take precedence. don't worry about it, just go with the flow. if it's something that remains of interest to you you'll find a way back when the time's right

Stop trying to play games. It's not like you have to spend every free moment you have playing games. Play them when you actually want to, and have a new game you really want to invest time into.

I have never went through a period in my life where I didn't want to play games, it could be because I play a huge variety of genres. I usually wont play the same genre twice in a row so constantly rotating genres keep things fresh for me.

One thing is for sure though, gaming should never feel like a chore, if you are forcing yourself to play then you are doing it wrong, you could take a break like others have suggested, or you could play a genre you don't normally play, revisit some old classics you used to like, or check out the indie game scene.
