I had the Blackhand Edition for the Wii and really enjoyed it. It was the first (and only so far) sandbox game I've played start to finish. I liked the racketeering aspect and the whole rise through the ranks mentality. As a Godfather game? I don't think having the license added a whole lot to it. In reality, it could have been a stand alone product that probably would have been appreciated more without having the weight of such a revered work.
It's a shame there's no Wii version. That's a dealbreaker for me, I liked what the Wii added to the first one.
I think it brought some interesting ideas to the table such as the racketering, the stats that made the player use a little more strategy and patience and the finishing moves.
The second one sounds strange and can go either way with those new features. They might work well together or they might be shallow tacked on additions that don't wok as well as they should.
