I agree iv never been a big fan of the final fantasy games. but i havent given them a go for a while maybe its time to have another crack...
The games that seem like a big deal and i just dont like Bessides all the Grand Turismo or turino or what ever it is is the Gears of War games. its not that i hate them i just dont find them as interesting as everyone else seems to. I own a Wii and my room mate has a XBox360 and i played the first one threw with him. to me it was mostly boring and same old same old. i dont even know what the storyline was because i wsa never interested enough to pay attention i just ran around chopping things up, dying then getting helped up and running around again.
Gearss of War... so much hype and following about such an ninteresting overall game (OVERALL). god fun killing things though
the halo series, i just cannot see the appeal.

Same here.I was so hyped about this game after seeing all the reviews, so I bought the PC version of the game. It started out all cool and stuff. But the more I played, the more the "cool/fun factor" started failing. At the end, I was in this dark chamber like area, with no ammo as such, and that was when I thought this game is just a chore to play. I forced myself to play through the game, hoping that it would be better, but no. It was the most disappointing game I played.
Maybe Halo's multiplayer is great, but its single player campaign is no where near the awesomeness of Chronicles of Riddick : Escape From Butcher Bay.
Others may love the Halo series, but I find it disappointing.
Halo, Halo2, halo3, Gears and Gears2; none of which I played for more than about 3 hours. Did not like them at all. I tried the original gears the longest, but then i go to this one point where i was trying to chase something down this back alley and wanted to jump through/out of a window and the only thing stopping me was the window frame itself (the window had been destroyed). After that i never went back to it, even though it showed promise in other areas. As for Halo, i finished the first one but was so bored by the end of it that i almost fell into a coma, halo2 was the same, and halo3 was the same with "HD" graphics.
Oh, and sports games of almost any kind.
i hate the following list of popular titles:
world of warcraft
gears of war 1& 2
halo 1, 2, and 3 (and wars well its not great and everyone knows it XD)
pokemon, final fantasy 1- 12?(it's obviously not the final if there's multiple sequels???) , Halo 1, 2, 3 (just cant get into them)
Grand Theft Auto games.
I love the idea of an open world but I just can't get over the fact that the main goal of the game seems to be something around killing police, prostitutes, random people at will like it's the only way you can survive in the game.
I may be wrong about it, I didn't play any of them seriously since the very first one (view from the sky), I've tried Vice City.
That's why, even with a score of 10, I'm still doubtful about GTA IV.
Any of the Grand Theft Auto games. I just don't get the hype. I've tried them all but have never been able to get into them. How could games with bad controls, awful camera(most of the time) garner so much attention. So what that you get to play the game how you want to.
Kingdom Hearts II, I freakin loved KH1 but I couldn't stand KH2 kfjl
I totally agree with you. KH II sucked big time to me when compared to the first one. There just wasn't any story, characters just got lamer or should I say stupider for some reason. Combat took massive or mindless bashing of triangle.
GTA San Andreas.
It's boring, has a stupid story line, does nothing to live up to its predacessors, yet every one seems to think it's the best thing since sliced bread.
BuryMe
It's probably the best GTA, it and Vice city. I hate the 4th one because the story just isn't very good or interesting.
Not really hate, but I just couldn't get into/couldn't understand the hype of Goldeneye 007.
When Goldeneye came out, I was playing shooters like Duke Nukem 3d, Doom, Wolfensteain 3d, Heretic, Hexen, Quake, Shadow Warrior, Rise of the Triad, and was looking forward to Quake II on the PC. A shooter which had a slow framerate and a lot of fog just couldn't compare to what I was used to.
All the GTA games. I don't get why almost every games reviewer gives GTAIV a 10. It's like Microsoft bribes them or something. It's not like Super Mario Galaxy gets lots of 10s, and that's a much better game than GTAIV!
Every Pokemon game. Pokemon is Nintendo's only god-awful series. If people pick on Animal Crossing for being the same game, I don't see why they don't pick on Pokemon.
Most shooters focus on nothing but killing, like Killzone 2 and Manhunt. It's like the developers were stuck for ideas.
I have a few;
Soul Caliburs (and Tekken to a lesser extent): scrub junk compared to Virtua Fighter
Halos: first one was cool for a console shooter but I can't believe it single handedly sold the system. The rest of themI think are very overrated.
Gran Turismo. This series hasunder-delivered andbeen out done but still treated like a god. GT4's online cut, no damage, and then a promised online version which seems to have been forgotten right after the release. GT5? Prolouge lol, no damage, no AI. This series shows how mediocre that developer is.
God of Wars. Yes, it is cool, but the gameplay is super weak. I'll take Sands of Time any day over those.
Metal Gears. Can't figure it out at all why it is so popular (I haven't played 4 yet though so I can't judge that one). Is it because I'm not one of those anime kiddies?
Socom. First one ruled the world until the cheaters, all the sequels were pure garbage.
I'm not trying to contradict the previous post, but I could never get into Virtua Fighter that much, and I can say that I've given it an honest amount of time, money and effort. I don't hate it or anything, I just didn't like it as much as other fighter (namely Tekken and Soul Calibur). I do play it every once in a while, but it doesn't give me as much enjoyment as other fighters do.

what have microsoft to do with GTA4?Well, I'd say Left 4 Dead, but that's new(but by those graphics you'd think it was on a PS2...), so I'll go with Street Fighter. Woo...no sidestepping, about10 or 15possible moves per character(WHAT THE HECK DOES 'CHARGE' MEAN?!), and AI so hard I can't beat the boss on Easy, when I don't have problems on Hard in Soul Calibur or Tekken...and somehow it's the best fighting game ever according tohalf of the gaming population.
^ its not a 3d fighter, so of course no sidestepping. as for the 10-15 moves, theres 6 standing, 6 ducking, 6 on the vertical jump, 6 on the horizantal jump, so theres 24 not including the couple of press foward/back + attack. its for people who don't want to spend countless hours memorizing one characters moveset. but if you don't like it, then thats fair enough, i'm not real big on 3d fighters myself. i'd prefer 2d fighters personally.
Its probably Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I never got what was so great about it and its probably because Metal Gear Solid blew my mind around the same time.

Stinger78
Goldeneye was one of the best games I've ever played due to its multiplayer. 4 player split screen was awesome and its something none of the other fps games had.
God of War: nice combat system but stupid stage layout and movement(might as well been a side scroller)
Shadow of the Colossos: Empty, Shallow, Worthless. I feel like it was a tech demo so somebody would hire those gimps to make a real game based off that one.
God Hand: horrable controls, horrable graphics
Thats about all the ones I HATE. I think HALO is worthless as a single player but I just assume everyone loves it for the multiplayer.
I've spent countless hours trying to figure out how to use those darn Super Attacks that that the AI *insert very derogatory term here* loves to spam, especially Ryu with that abhorrent voice actor(SHOOOOOOH-YOU-CAAAAAWN! HADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKIN! SHUT UP...). At least Soul Calibur has some relatively efficient moves that don't take an eternity to use. XD^ its not a 3d fighter, so of course no sidestepping. as for the 10-15 moves, theres 6 standing, 6 ducking, 6 on the vertical jump, 6 on the horizantal jump, so theres 24 not including the couple of press foward/back + attack. its for people who don't want to spend countless hours memorizing one characters moveset. but if you don't like it, then thats fair enough, i'm not real big on 3d fighters myself. i'd prefer 2d fighters personally.
