The next GTA - when do you think we'll see it?

Now that the amazing update Gay Tony is out, and it's awesome, it just feeds my own personal hunger for more GTA.... it really has been my favourite game franchise for a very long time now.

Do you think we'll see GTA V on the current gen of platforms? I'd certainly like to hope so... I really want them to do something close to San Andreas in size for the next one.

I don't think we will be seeing GTA again untill next gen. R* already stated that the episode were the last we would see of GTA IV and with agent and red dead redemption coming up, i have a hard time seeing a new GTA anytime soon

Well, if popular thought is to be believed, we should have about 3-5 years left of the current console gen - surely that's enough time for them to do another GTA game? I know these episodes are the last from GTA IV, but that doesn't mean a sequel isn't already in the pipeline. You know how secretive R* are... ha ha

It's probably just my own wishful thinking, I know.... I just can't wait to see what GTA V will hold

hopefully soon. It would be cool if they did somewhere like Tokyo, Japan and the surrounding areas, that'd be awesome. i just want them to do something out there.

That's a great idea Shani_Boy... although GTA's roots are clearly in a US city theme, I'd like to see them explore the planet more. GTA London was awesome on PS1 (British bias, obviously!) and I'd like to see them do more in this area... almost like they do with the earlier Midnight Club games where they have more than one city to explore in the game, a storyline spanning parts of the globe would be amazing
