The Order 1886 actually good?

Just finished The Order 1886, and actually found it to be a pretty decent game. Especially the soundtrack. Did anyone else think the same?

Yeah it was decent, but it had it's flaws, I think if they do another one and correct the mistakes, it's a good foundation to build on.

i thought it was a frustrating experience, as though it's made by people that like the idea of making a game but don't actually play them.

it's a while since i last played it but i just remember stop, start, stop, start, stop, start super linear gameplay. every stop is another cut scene, just as you're starting to get into the game. and often they're the worst kind of cut scenes where you have to "interact" and walk super slow listening to someone prattle on endlessly.

it had some nice ideas but for me it's a game that gives with one hand and then bitch slaps you with the other when you try to take what it's offering

For me the marketing of the game built an image I thought the game would be versus what it actually is. Not able to break from that, a lot of folks beat the game with a bad taste in their mouth. I feel the game has potential from a lore perspective however it might've been better to start off with baby steps. Give us a taste of the world but maintain gameplay. If the developers really wanted a movie, they should have done a movie similar to FFXV first then game.

That game is like a meal with all the right ingredients in the wrong proportions.

One of the worst games i've ever played, and i'm not exaggerating.

I haven't played it yet even though I can get it dead cheap.

I agreed with everyone above, but I did love the story and atmosphere. It would be neat if they expanded on that somehow, maybe even through another medium.

Great for 10 bucks, bad for full price. It's way too short with a small amount of content compared to any other game for that price. That's why people hated it.

It's decent, but if you're pressed for time there's a dozen other, better games to choose from instead...

It was an enjoyable game, for $20. I see where people who payed full price for it may have had a different experience with the game. Sometimes the value of your entertainment impacts the overall experience.
