Yes the games is AMAZING! 100%
No, the game sucks. 0%

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is one of the greatest adventure games that I have played in a long time. Crazy good. But when I get to one of the puzzles that involves thinking, I usually have to look up a walkthrough video on how to do the puzzle I am stuck on. That's basically the only downside in this game that I don't really enjoy. But lets talk about some of the good things.

This game does have a lot of good parts in it that involve thinking like the little puzzles that you need to complete in order to continue on in the investigation you are doing. That is pretty fun if you know what you're doing. If not, then walkthrough video for you. The first puzzles you encounter are relatively easy to get passed. If you don't solve the puzzle in a certain amount of time then you get the option to skip it or keep trying to solve it. To me, being able to skip a puzzle is awesome. Especially if it is one that I've been trying to crack for 10 minutes.

Another cool feature in this game is the fact that you can play as Sherlock Holmes or Watson. You can't choose to play as them all the time. For example, say Sherlock Holmes is analyzing something and he doesn't want to get up and grab something because he's on the verge of solving the case, "Hey Watson, grab me that book over there" and then you get to be Watson. A way you can tall that is it say "You control Watson" across your screen. Or in one part of the game, you get to control a dog that can sniff out a person where they are hiding.

Is that it? No. If you're at a crime scene somewhere and you have no idea where else to investigate, you can press the hint button on your keyboard (the default hint button is the space button) and then out of nowhere, magnifying glasses show up or the icon that shows a hand pops up and when you go to those you are able to investigate it or pick up whatever item it is showing you to pick up. The only downside to this hint button is you can only use it every 10-15 seconds or so. Which is fine. I can wait that long but if your and excited gamer and you want to solve that case or catch those bad guys you want to do it as fast as possible.

That is mostly all I have to say about this game. It is overall amazing in my opinion and I'd recommend that as your next purchase. Whether it's through the Steam Store, Playstation Store, or the XBOX/Microsoft Store. That's pretty much all I have to say about this crazy game. Enjoy!

Honestly, the only thing I remember about the game were the sections where you play as the dog (who runs around unlocking doors for Sherlock, and so on).

I never bothered to finish it, although I really did enjoy the earlier games in the series (The Awakened, Arsene Lupin, and Jack the Ripper especially). I suppose the story of this one just never really jumped out at me? There was less of an identifiable villain in this one (unlike, say, Cthulhu himself in The Awakened), it didn't have Lupin's fun riddles, and it lacked Ripper's great murder recreation bits. So eh, this one was a bit of a mis-hit for me.
