Listing top 5 sounds a little exhausting, bur here are my least favorite games for a few of those genres:
RPG: Lost Odyssee- I know a lot of people love this game, but I truly hated it. I played 4-hours and just could not take it anymore.
FPS: Black- Another game that a lot of people liked, but I just could not stand it.
Racing: Diddy Kong Racing - I have never liked this game, ever.
I see...JRPGs
1. Final Fantasy XII
2. Final Fantasy XII
3. Final Fantasy XII
4. Final Fantasy X
5. Final Fantasy X-2
GreySeal9
Have anyone mentioned Superman 64 yet? :P

Worst game in the endlessly flying through rings genre, for sure!
I loved the SSB series until Brawl. I think that games garbage and am surprised that is the final product as it feels like a beta and even still its gravely disappointing.
Thats the only game in recent memory I can think of but the amount of hate I have towards that title is enough to fill a 5 games for every genre list :p
FPS: Black- Another game that a lot of people liked, but I just could not stand it.Shenmue_JehutyWhile not the worst fps I have played, I agree that I did not enjoy it at all past the first level. I still have the game sitting in my shelf, waiting to ever be played again. For worst platformer I'll go with The Simpsons Camp Deadly on gameboy. It was hard, it was unfair, it was boring, repetetive, short, ugly. It's the only gameboy game I have ever sold. For the record, I own over 100 gameboy games.
Threads like this are tough because bad games aren't memorable.
That's why topics about disliking popular games and claiming they're bad go further.
But truly bad:
Superman
Aquaman
ET
Street Sweeper.
.
Thing is a conversation like this doesn't go anywhere because we all know how bad the bad ones are. There's no contraversy.
I gota throw Unlimited Saga under the bus for RPG, idk what the hell they were trying with that game but I couldn't handle it.
Answers in these kinds of threads are always flat out wrong. Objectively speaking, most people haven't even touched on the "worst" games in these genres. Probably because those games are downright broken in so many ways (unresponsive controls, graphical glitches, etc.), often to the point of being unbeatable, and the average semi-informed gamer is smart enough to avoid them like the plague.
The guy that listed Superman 64, E.T. 2600 and a couple of others hit the nail on the head. If someone enjoyed those two games, it was purely due to comic value. Let me go ahead and throw Big Rigs in there. Absolute unplayable crap.
I'm not doing a top 5, one from each genre is enough.
And only from games i've played. It's easy to say ET is probably the worst thing ever made but i've never played it so omit it.

And for worst on each platform:
Yes, i have played "Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing" on PC, but that's so bad that it has a charm, if that makes sense. It's funny-bad, not horrible-bad.

I'd have to say that the flat-out worst game i've ever played is "Bridge-It" on the CPC.

Not only is it a terrible idea, frustrating and boring, it was also buggy and sometimes didn't load properly. So parts of some levels were strewn randomly around the screen.
The PS2 has worse games than Eternal Ring :PDudersaper
Â
Not that i've played. For me it was close between that and Reign of Fire. The reason i chose Eternal Ring was that i couldn't remember any of it, which means my brain must be blocking it out. :D
